The exhaustion faced by academics served as the starting point for this special issue--edited, written, and reviewed exclusively by cis and trans women. We understand exhaustion as a consequence of ...historical and daily battles for gender equality, aggravated by the burden of reproductive work. Thus, even when exhausted, we accepted this challenge out of the conviction of the political role necessary to open spaces in the face of a masculine logic of science production. This editorial was structured based on recognizing the importance of producing, identifying, and living with the challenges necessary to disrupt oppression. These challenges come in the form of (1) bringing together female editors, authors, and reviewers from different regions, academic backgrounds, and diverse representations; (2) time, which revealed itself as an instrument of domination and gender violence; (3) the operationalization of the contradiction in producing an edition exclusively for women, considering the male logic of practicing science. This edition should be read as a pedagogical instrument to visualize the challenges experienced, and it is a call for collective responsibility in the fight to create space in everyday life, specifically in the academic field. Finally, if we are to combat injustices, we must provoke daily discomfort, and this edition set out to do just that. Keywords: gender equality; women; reproductive work; contemporaneity.

This volume was born out of the encounter between academia and the professional environment, in order to contribute, from different points of view and from a diachronic perspective, to the issue of ...gender equality in the legal profession. In light of the differences still existing, the contributions address some of the main issues related to women’s access to the advocacy and the judiciary, from historical and current points of view, within the broader framework of the implementation of the constitutional principle of equality. It aims at promoting a culture of equality, i.e. a culture capable of moving not only on the level of homogeneity, but also on the level of diversity, enhancing the characteristics of each person-professional, in a pluralistic and inclusive perspective.
Summary
This systematic review sought to evaluate the impact of gender equality on the health of both women and men in high-income countries. A range of health outcomes arose across the 48 studies ...included. Gender equality was measured in various ways, including employment characteristics, political representation, access to services, and with standard indicators (such as the Global Gender Gap Index and the Gender Empowerment Measure). The effects of gender equality varied depending on the health outcome examined, and the context in which gender equality was examined (i.e. employment or domestic domain). Overall, evidence suggests that greater gender equality has a mostly positive effect on the health of males and females. We found utility in the convergence model, which postulates that gender equality will be associated with a convergence in the health outcomes of men and women, but unless there is encouragement and support for men to assume more non-traditional roles, further health gains will be stymied.
