Mitofusin1 (Mfn1) mediates outer mitochondrial membrane (OMM) fusion in Opisthokonts. The uncharacterized TM comprises to two helices (namely, the TM1 and TM2) connected by an intermembrane loop. ...Consistent with previous studies, our results from in silico analyses show that all mitofusins lack N terminal-MTS and the TM may act an internal MTS. We have identified a conserved region in TM domain that is responsible for mitochondrial localization of Mfn1/2. Thus, our results suggest the dual function of TM; in OMM anchoring and signaling Mfn1 to mitochondria. Our study illuminates the underlying role of TM for mitochondrial localization of Mfn1 on one hand and also paves a way for the development of tools for in silico prediction of cellular localization of proteins.
•Human Mfn1 contains internal MTS localized in the loop region between the two helices of the conserved transmembrane domain.•Internal MTS is a shared feature of all opisthokont mitofusins.•It facilitates anchoring and targeting of these proteins to the mitochondrial membrane.
•More than 100 papers are reviewed concerning onboard Decision Support Systems.•Collaboration networks of authors and countries are elaborated.•Most of Decision Support Systems remain on relatively ...low Technology Readiness Level.•The cooperation between academia and industry in the field of Decision Support Systems is unsatisfactory.
Maritime transport faces new safety-related challenges resulting from constantly increasing traffic density, along with increasing dimensions of ships. Consequently, the number of new concepts related to Decision Support Systems (DSSs) supporting safe shipborne operations in the presence of reduced ship manning is rapidly growing, both in academia and industry. However, there is a lack of a systematic description of the state-of-the-art in this field. Moreover, there is no comprehensive overview of the level of technology readiness of proposed concepts. Therefore, this paper presents an analysis aiming at (1) increasing the understanding of the structure and contents of the academic field concerned with this topic; (2) determining and mapping scientific networks in this domain; (3) analyzing and visualizing Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of analyzed systems. Bibliometric methods are utilized to depict the domain of onboard DSSs for operations focused on safety ensurance and accident prevention. The scientific literature is reviewed in a systematic way using a comparative analysis of existing tools. The results indicate that there are relatively many developments in selected DSS categories, such as collision avoidance and ship routing. However, even in these categories some issues and gaps still remain, so further improvements are needed. The analysis indicates a relatively low level of technology readiness of tools and concepts presented in academic literature. This signifies a need to move beyond the conceptual stages toward demonstration and validation in realistic, operating environments.
The teacher's role is very important in implementing the curriculum as well as in learning activities. Therefore, the activities carried out by the teacher need to be supervised or assisted so that ...the vision and mission of learning activities can be carried out properly. With the completion of academic supervision, it is hoped that there will be real support for teachers in developing their abilities to achieve curriculum goals. This study aims to evaluate supervision activities which consist of three stages, starting from planning academic supervision, implementing academic supervision, and following up on academic supervision. The case study in this research is at MTs Plus Sabilunnajah which is in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research at the planning stage have been carried out properly, the school principal carries out supervision planning by requesting the results of regular meetings. In the next stage, namely the implementation stage, the principal assesses every aspect of supervision starting from the suitability of the lesson plans with learning activities, learning processes, teacher performance, and classroom management by the teacher. From the results of the supervision implementation, it is known that there are some discrepancies between the RPP and the implementation of learning in the classroom. Another obstacle in the implementation of supervision is the schedule of supervision activities which are often delayed if the principal has an urgent need
Based on a bio-heuristic algorithm, this paper proposes a novel path planner called obstacle avoidance beetle antennae search (OABAS) algorithm, which is applied to the global path planning of ...unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Compared with the previous bio-heuristic algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has advantages of a wide search range and breakneck search speed, which resolves the contradictory requirements of the high computational complexity of the bio-heuristic algorithm and real-time path planning of UAVs. Besides, the constraints used by the proposed algorithm satisfy various characteristics of the path, such as shorter path length, maximum allowed turning angle, and obstacle avoidance. Ignoring the
-axis optimization by combining with the minimum threat surface (MTS), the resultant path meets the requirements of efficiency and safety. The effectiveness of the algorithm is substantiated by applying the proposed path planning algorithm on the UAVs. Moreover, comparisons with other existing algorithms further demonstrate the superiority of the proposed OABAS algorithm.
Aiming at the problem of on-line real-time estimation of the state of charge (SOC) and capacity of the battery pack, a new mean-difference model (MDM) for series battery pack is proposed. The model ...realizes the fusion of data-driven Autoregression (AR) model and equivalent circuit model (ECM) to improve the dynamic characteristics of the battery pack model under complex operating conditions. For the model parameters of the new MDM, the differentiated updating strategy is proposed. The differentiated updating strategy proposed can timely update the new MDM parameters online according to their changing characteristics and changing rate. Based on the new MDM, new mean-difference space equations expressing the coupling relationship between battery pack SOC and capacity, as well as a multi-timescale estimation framework based on mean state / difference state changing speed, are proposed. Finally, under this multi-timescale estimation framework, the multi-timescale H infinity filter (Mts-HIF) is used to realize the joint estimation of SOC and capacity of series battery packs. Based on 3 operating conditions, we have verified the proposed new MDM under noiseless and colored noise environment and compared it with the MDM based on n-order RC-ECM (nRC-ECM). The Akaike information criterion (AIC) indicates that the 3-order AR mean model (AR-MM) has the optimal tradeoff between accuracy and complexity under noiseless environment, while the 4-order AR-MM has the optimal tradeoff under colored noise environment and its root mean square error (RMSE) is less than 14.5 mV. Compared with the multi-timescale extended Kalman filter (Mts-EKF) joint estimation algorithm, the Mts-HIF proposed has better robustness under colored noise environment. For the capacity estimation of each cell of battery pack, the RMSE of the Mts-HIF does not exceed 2%, while the RMSE of the Mts-EKF exceeds 4%. For the SOC estimation, the RMSE of the Mts-HIF does not exceed 1.2%, while the RMSE of the Mts-EKF is close to 3%.
As a result of a large-scale study on the small terrestrial mammals (Eulipotyphla, Rodentia, Lagomorpha) of the Sarnena Sredna Gora Mts., through various methodological approaches and methods, we ...collected data about 2460 individuals, belonging to 30 species. The established species composition represents about 70% of the small terrestrial mammals of Bulgaria, which indicates the presence of a rich faunal complex. Of the established species, 6 are protected, 2 are defined as conservationally significant, with a limited distribution for the area, 3 species are synanthropic. For the first time we confirmed the presence of Sorex araneus, S. minutus, C. glareolus in the Sarnena Sredna Gora Mts. The nutria (Myocastor coypus), the European hare (Lepus europaeus), and the Red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) are hunting objects, and the nutria is also included in the list of invasive alien species in Europe. For the first time, the mountain habitats of the small mammal fauna of Sarnena Sredna Gora have been studied, typified, and mapped, and the species richness, zoogeographical structure, nature conservation status, and regularities in its distribution and origin have been analyzed.
Multiteam digital creativity (MTDC) is a new domain of creativity study that fits the new developments of the digital era, thus scholars have called for exploring MTDC in the fine-graining phase. ...This paper responds to this call, and adopts two studies and cross-validation analysis to explore the theoretical framework of the impact factors of MTDC in the transition phase. Study 1 adopts the qualitative analysis method of rooted theory to explore a more comprehensive impact factor and to maximize the new theory's saturation. Study 2 adopts the CL-WG DEMATEL method, one analysis method of group decision-making and optimized concept lattice, which could cross-validation analyze the results of Study 1 and further determine the importance of the factors. The results of the studies indicate that the influencing factors of MTDC are multilevel, and the factors such as the organizational digital climate, team psychological empowerment, individual digital cognition and emotion, and leadership competence have greater impacts on MTDC. This indicates that the transition phase has a unique internal mechanism. This paper constructs a theoretical framework of factors influencing MTDC in the transition phase and provides new theoretical and practical references for how organizations could fully stimulate MTDC in the digital era. In addition, the cross-validated analytical method further enriches the study tools in the domain of organizational behavior.

A 369 nm frequency-tripled laser is frequency stabilized by locking the 554 nm harmonic-frequency laser to the R(146) 25-0 a15 line of 127I2 via modulation transfer spectroscopy. A frequency stability of 5×10−12 is observed over a 1000 s integration time. The measurement of the molecular iodine spectroscopy at 554 nm enriches high-precision experimental data, and also enables theoretical predictions. Grain refinement of Al–Si alloys has been a long subject of study with various theories still being discussed. The efficiency of grain refiners, fading effect, poisoning effect, and selection of the ...optimum ratios of particularly Ti/B ratio has been the focus of many researchers. In this work, different grain refiners were added to Al11Si alloy and statistical analysis of tensile properties was conducted by means of Weibull analysis and survivability plots. It was aimed to compare the reproducibility and reliability of mechanical properties of different grain refiners. Ti-free B, Nb, and chemically introduced MTS were investigated. It was found that the DAS and SDAS were not dramatically changed but the reliability of the tensile properties was significantly varied. 0.03 wt% Nb added alloy revealed the lowest reproducibility with lowest tensile values whereas 0.1 wt % Nb and MTS exhibited the most reliable and highest tensile properties.
•There is no significant difference in grain size when Ti, B, Nb or MTS is used.•The major difference is in the reliability and reproducibility of tensile results.•MTS and Nb reveals the highest tensile properties.•Ti grain refiner has the highest scatter.•B grain refiner is efficient in grain refinement however low tensile properties.
