This research analyses the impact of the world-famous Lord Sri Jagannath Temple on the socio-economic conditions of the ritual functionaries of the temple of Puri in eastern India. The number of ...Ritual Functionaries has increased over a period of time but the rituals are remaining constant. The study reveals that the majority of the ritual functionaries are not getting adequate remuneration directly from the rituals due to multiplication of families over generations. But they have been getting their income indirectly from the pilgrims who are visiting the temple. The new generations have also started seeking jobs and doing business for their livelihood, but whenever their family's turn comes for rituals in the temple, they take it as an opportunity to serve the Lord without missing their turn. The economic analysis shows that there is wide variation in the earnings of the ritual functionaries depending on the type and number of days of service allotted to them per month. There is a scope for deployment of the ritual functionaries during their free time to serve the tourist, who are coming directly to the temple and other types of tourist who are staying in the hotels. In this way, they can earn a decent income for them thereby improving their standard of living. Time has come to allot the visitors to the functionaries and attach them to the local hotels to act as the guide to the visitors in a systematic manner. It will help all the functionaries to earn more income. The tourist will also get full satisfaction with their visit. In this manner, Puri can be placed as a major religious tourist spot in the world.

In order to plan and utilize water resources of subsided water area, the basic water quality information of subsided water area is needed. fourteen large scaled subsided water areas have been ...selected in Panji coal mining area of Huainan city, the investigation and sampling have been carried out. Heavy element of water quality has been analyzed and fuzzy synthetic evaluation method was used to evaluate water environment. The results show that most of the twelve investigated subsided water areas which developed for the fish farming have been polluted already. Only one subsided water area was assessed as class III. Appropriate measures are taken to control subsided water areas of different areas and pollution, then comprehensive development and utilization of water resources can be adopted.

Članak daje povijesni pregled wayang bebera i analizira njegovo postojanje danas u tradicionalnim i suvremenim oblicima.
Panji is abundant in coal reserves. With the rapid enlargement of mining scale, the ecological environment and landscape around Panji mining area has been severely damaged. This thesis investigates ...and analyzes the current mining conditions and ecological problems in Panji coal-mining area. Accordingly for the purpose of having a harmonious relationgship with the ecosysem and the promoting of economic development in the mining area, effective measures from the perspective of engineering, technical and economic are proposed in this thesis: vegetation restoration; covering subsidence area with soil; pollution charge. All these will play an important and realistic role for the development of Panji coal-mining area in the long run.
Sedimentary facies types of the Pleistocene deposits of the Modern Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province, China and Permian Member D deposits in Huainan coalfield in Anhui Province are exemplified ...by depositional facies of anastomosing fluvial systems. In both study areas, sand/sandstone and mud/mudstone-dominated facies types formed in diverging and converging, coeval fluvial channels laterally juxtaposed with floodplains containing ponds, lakes, and topogenous mires. The mires accumulated thin to thick peat/coal deposits that vary in vertical and lateral distribution between the two study areas. This difference is probably due to attendant sedimentary processes that affected the floodplain environments. The ancestral floodplains of the Modern Pearl River Delta were reworked by combined fluvial and tidal and estuarine processes. In contrast, the floodplains of the Permian Member D were mainly influenced by freshwater fluvial processes. In addition, the thick, laterally extensive coal zones of the Permian Member D may have formed in topogenous mires that developed on abandoned courses of anastomosing fluvial systems. This is typified by Seam 13-1, which is a blanket-like body that thickens to as much as 8 m but also splits into thinner beds. This seam overlies deposits of diverging and converging, coeval fluvial channels of the Sandstone D
3 and associated overbank-floodplain deposits. The limited areal extent of lenticular Pleistocene peat deposits of the Modern Pearl River Delta is due to their primary accumulation in topogenous mires in the central floodplains that were restricted by contemporaneous anastomosing channels.
Because of coal mining for many years, there are 36.06 km 2 subsidence areas in the Panji region of Huainan city, 11.32 km 2 of which are catchments. The paper selects two subsidence waters which are ...in different closed conditions as research objects. Based on water quality monitoring values, the paper gets that opened subsidence water quality is better than closed one by using the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. This paper carries out the difference analysis and obtains that the water quality is affected by use patterns, residential places, mine drainage and coal gangue.
Nihe River is the main natural water system in Panji mining area of Huainan. By setting points, sampling and monitoring different sections in different seasons, this paper roundly analyzes and ...appraises the water quality from the angles of physicochemical indexes, conventional ions, heavy metal elements and microorganism. The results show Nihe River is polluted that transparency is small, that DO is rich, that BOD and COD is higher than normal level and the water is weak basic. The river is polluted more seriously downriver than upriver. Conventional ions, heavy metal elements, microorganism and parts of physicochemical indexes are increasing from upriver to downriver and have accumulative effect. Compared with standard of environment quality of national surface water (GB3838-2002), heavy metal elements As, Se, Cr, Cu, Zn isn't beyond III standard, while Hg is beyond III standard and Cd, Pb is beyond V standard. Besides, the water has differences in different seasons and has seasonal variations. The theoretical basis about protection and comprehensive utilization of the river is provided through analysis and evaluation.
