This manual ('Together We Can: Tools For Open Discussions About Stigma And Discrimination In Mental Health') offers some ideas for starting a conversation about stigma and discrimination in mental ...health. Its structure enables everyone to organise dialogues in various communities: at home, at school, in the workplace, among friends, etc. The manual is designed for everyone who strives to reduce stigma and discrimination through an open discussion. It is aimed at concrete action, at change. The booklet comprises two parts. The first part combines the lived experience of stigma and discrimination by people with mental health difficulties, on the one hand, and informed knowledge on the issue by the research group of the OMRA programme, on the other hand. This part further brings an explanation of the terms stigma and discrimination, and their relationship, as well as how both phenomena impact our wellbeing and behaviour, and what meaning is ascribed to them by various communities.
Avalanches cause the highest number of fatalities in the Alps, threatening many areas and facilities, as well as transport and communications infrastructure. An integral part of avalanche protection ...is risk communication and warning, which is within the domain of the avalanche service of the Slovenian Environmental Agency. As part of the ‘Crossrisk Project’, the ZRC SAZU Anton Melik Geographical Institute has prepared a ‘Snow Field Manual’ which will allow for the standardised collection of field data on snow, snow cover and avalanches. This data forms the basis for determining the current avalanche hazard level. The ‘Snow Card’ supplement, which is an integral part of the manual, contains a condensed view of the most important contents and also includes two forms (there are a total of 14 forms in the manual) for entering the snow cover cross-section data. It also includes instructions for preparing and performing cross-sections of snow cover and avalanche tests. All information is provided along with a clear explanation key. Finally, a description of typical avalanche problems and types of avalanche hazards follows. The full applicability of the Snow Field Manual and the Snow Card is achieved by entering the digital data of the cross-section and the avalanche test into the appropriate web application.
The publication focuses on the most important aspects of field research, documentation, archiving and preservation of folk music heritage: it contains elementary guidelines for fieldwork, provides ...the basics concepts of music and text transcriptions, and draws attention to the correct handling and preservation of unique field material, especially sound and written sources. It is intended to address those who are interested in the discovery and research of folk instrumental and vocal music, to support them with recommendations for their work, and thus to make them aware not only of the importance of discovering and collecting folk music in the field, but also of the importance of preserving documented field material. The bilingual Slovenian-Hungarian handbook Snemanje in arhiviranje ljudske glasbe / Népzene rögzítése és archiválása (Folk Music Recording and Archiving Handbook) is the result of the project “Folk Music Heritage: Exploration, study and dissemination of the common folk music heritage”, carried out in the framework of the Interreg V-A Slovenia Hungary cross-border cooperation in the years 2018-2021.
The monograph ('I live in Bukov Vrh ('village') below Bukov vrh ('hill')') contains eight different proposals for writing the initial in the non-first components of multi-word geographical proper ...names. The proposals were presented at the open conference ““Meeting of two commissions”“ in June 2019. The motives that triggered the discussion on spelling reform and the decision to consult with the general public before the final decision of the spelling commission are presented. A survey will be prepared, presenting the views of the debaters, presented in the present monograph. The views of the chapters in the central part of the monograph can be summarized in three groups: the first group advocates a more comprehensive reform, which is reflected in the technical solution of writing geographical names - ““all components of the name with a capital letter”“~the second group does not advocate technical reform at the outset, but focuses on clarifying the rules and abolishing the division into settlement and non-settlement names~the third group does not support any changes.
