The aim of this paper is to provide an answer to the question of who are intellectuals and how much are they needed to society and the Church? Countless intellectuals, among them also theologians, ...played a role in creating and sustaining destructive regimes of contemporary ideologies, fanatical religious movements and cynical politics. In former socialist countries, active humanists, the main carriers of freedom, dissidents and sufferers, were often intellectuals. In postsocialist societies and countries, especially in Southeastern Europe, struck by war and nationalism, and overwhelmed with triviality of consumer’s society, intellectuals/theologians are, next to politicians, the strongest barriers against humanization of society: they exclude morals from politics, they reject self-criticsm, civil bravery and prophetic dimension of faith.

The paper considers some results of creating load-carrying composite systems that have uprated strength, rigidity and safety, and therefore are called geometrically (self-) hardening systems. The ...optimization mathematic models of structures as discrete mechanical systems withstanding dead load, monotonic or low cyclic static and kinematic actions are proposed. To find limit parameters of these actions the extreme energetic principle is suggested what result in the bilevel mathematic programming problem statement. The limit parameters of load actions are found on the first level of optimization. On the second level the power of the constant load with equilibrium preloading is maximized and/or system cost is minimized. The examples of using the proposed methods are presented and geometrically hardening composite steel-concrete system are taken into account.
W pracy przedstawiono sposoby projektowania konstrukcji, które ze względu na swoją geometrię oraz topologię posiadają podwyższoną nośność, sztywność i bezpieczeństwo. Systemy takie nazwano geometrycznie (samo-) wzmacniającymi się. Zaproponowano optymalizacyjne modele matematyczne konstrukcji jako dyskretne systemy mechaniczne będące pod obciążeniem stałym, zmiennym monotoniczne lub niskocyklowym, statycznym lub kinematycznym.
Dla znalezienia granicznych parametrów obciążeń wprowadzona została ekstremalna zasada energetyczna, przedstawiona jako problem dwupoziomowego programowania matematycznego. Graniczne parametry obciążeń szukane są na pierwszym poziomie optymalizacji. Na drugim poziomie minimalizowany jest koszt systemu i/lub maksymalizowana jest moc stałego równoważącego obciążenia z dociążeniem.
Ponadto w pracy przeanalizowano numerycznie i analitycznie zachowanie konstrukcji geometrycznie wzmacniających się na przykładzie konstrukcji zespolonych stalowobetonowych. Pierwszy przykład dotyczy konstrukcji belkowo-prętowej z podciągiem, belkę stanowi stalowy dwuteownik połączony z płytą betonową. Analizowano cztery przypadki skratownia podciągu wykonanego z prętów stalowych o przekroju kołowym i znacznej sztywności słupów. Pokazano znaczący wpływ orientacji słupów podciągu na nośność konstrukcji. Drugi przykład numeryczny wykonano dla uproszczonego modelu wiaduktu WD-22 znajdującego się na węźle „Pyrzyce” na drodze ekspresowej S3.
Dla obu przykładów realizowano dwa przypadki obciążania konstrukcji, bez uwzgłędnienia i z uwzgłędnieniem stałego równoważącego obciążenia z dociążeniem. Obliczenia numeryczne wykonano w środowisku systemu Abaqus/Standard stosując analizę geometrycznie nieliniową (Nlgeom). W obliczeniach przyjęto następujące modele materiałowe: dla belki żelbetowej - idealnie sprężysto-plastyczny natomiast dla prętów stalowych podciągu - sprężysty. Celem analizy była obserwacja zachowania się konstrukcji po osiągnięciu obciążenia granicznego dla różnych przypadków skratowania oraz oszacowanie nośności granicznej dla konstrukcji bez stałego obciążenia oraz ze stałym obciążeniem i dociążeniem. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych obliczeń numerycznych i analitycznych stwierdzono, że w różnych konstrukcjach o pewnych wymiarach skratowania obserwuje się wzmocnienie geometryczne po osiągnięciu przez system nośności granicznej. Uwzględnienie obciążenia stałego równoważącego oraz dodatkowego dociążenia powoduje wzrost nośności granicznej konstrukcji geometrycznie wzmacniających się o około 20 %.
Ovaj rad primjenjuje Campbellovu teoriju "kreativne" potrošnje (2005.) na suvremenu kulturu hrane. U njemu se tvrdi da se osim kuhanja i pripreme hrane i neki oblici vlastita uzgoja hrane mogu ...smatrati "kreativnom" potrošnjom hrane. Pokušavaju se zapravo utvrditi uvjeti i mogući motivi za obje vrste "kreativne" potrošnje hrane koji mogu rasvijetliti društvene, simboličke, izražajne i ekonomske posebnosti novih oblika bavljenja hranom i pomoći opisati kako se oni razlikuju od svojih tradicionalnih obrazaca. Naposljetku, ali ne i manje važno, u radu se tvrdi da nam u onoj mjeri u kojoj su kreativne aktivnosti po definiciji uvijek aktivnosti slobodna vremena, i primjena pojma "kreativne" potrošnje na kulturu hrane također može pružiti bolje razumijevanje kuhanja i vlastita uzgoja hrane kao aktivnosti slobodna vremena.

We introduce the Semantically Aware, Mission- Oriented (SAMO) framework, which enables fine-grained, host- application-to-network signaling. This signaling employs SAMO metadata, carried in an ...existing network-layer header, to inform the network of the application's desires. These meta data can invoke SAMO network-layer virtual network functions (VNFs) to provide sophisticated services for the packet. The framework could enable, for instance, a secure, application- and application- protocol independent, network-layer, publish/subscribe or situational awareness service. The SAMO framework is particularly beneficial in mobile edge or wireless networks, where the state of the network may change rapidly, and where quickly adapting to limited, and often variable, network resources is more important than, for example, maximizing router throughput. The framework is equally applicable in enterprise networks, industrial verticals, or other private networks, where the organization deploying or using the network needs the network to adapt to the specific semantics of the data being carried. SAMO signaling creates a disciplined, cross-layer interface, which can promote improved application/network integration or support other in-network computing architectures. Furthermore, the SAMO framework avoids embedding application knowledge in network devices and it functions even when user data are encrypted. Moreover, the framework permits new, sophisticated, network-layer extensions and services to be easily tested or deployed in exiting IPv4IIPv6 or 5GINextG networks. SAMO VNFs are ideally positioned to employ artificial in-telligence and machine learning (AIIML) technologies to enable networks to modify their behaviors in response to the semantics of the data streams. The SAMO framework ensures that AIIML- enhanced SAMO VNFs have available semantic information about the data, via the application-generated SAMO metadata! A proof-of-concept (PoC) SAMO-enabled host application and a simple SAMO VNF were implemented and used to evaluate the efficacy and performance of the framework.
U svijetu krcatom gomilom informacija i medijskih sadržaja, alternativnih činjenica i „lažnih vijesti“, procjena istinitosti zahtijeva posebnu vještinu koja se razvija u sustavu obrazovanja čovjeka. ...Nedostajuća usmjerenost odgojno-obrazovnog sustava osposobljavanju pojedinca za sposobnost procjenjivanja istinitosti serviranih informacija kako bi bio sposoban zaštititi se od negativnih utjecaja i iskorištavanja od strane neoimperijalističke tržišne sile marketingom i marketinškim trikovima, postaje glavni problem u modernom svijetu. Medijsko dirigiranje i nametanje obrazaca potreba prema zakonu ponude i potražnje isključuje čovjeka iz konteksta samo-određujućeg bića koje je u stanju jasno formirati i izraziti vlastite potrebe i vlastita određenja. Zagušljivost „medijske diktature“ mlade ljude pretvara u pasivne potrošače bez mogućnosti razvoja osobnog filtera za kritičko probavljanje sadržaja. Rad se bavi prikazivanjem realnog stanja na medijskoj pozornici i promišljanju važnosti kritičkog mišljenja u svijetu medijskog imeprijalizma.
Teorijski dio rada sastoji se od analize različitih pristupa i modela vrednovanja
kvalitete prakse u ustanovama ranoga i predškolskoga odgoja i obrazovanja,
s naglaskom na specifičnosti vrednovanja ...kvalitete planiranja i dokumentiranja
odgojno-obrazovnoga procesa i praćenja dječjih postignuća. U empirijskom dijelu
rada predstavljeni su rezultati istraživanja provedenoga u ustanovama ranoga i
predškolskoga odgoja i obrazovanja na području Hercegovačko-neretvanske županije
(BiH). Uz uvažavanje teritorijalnih, kulturoloških i zakonodavnih specifičnosti
Bosne i Hercegovine, definiran je model za (samo)vrednovanje kvalitete planiranja i
dokumentiranja odgojno-obrazovnoga procesa i praćenja razvoja djece u ustanovama
ranoga i predškolskoga odgoja i obrazovanja. Model može poslužiti kao polazna točka
za daljnja istraživanja u području unaprjeđenja kvalitete planiranja i dokumentiranja
odgojno-obrazovnoga procesa i praćenja postignuća djece, kao i kvalitete prakse
drugih aspekata i područja unutar predškolskih ustanova.
