Nalazi mnogobrojnih istrazivanja pokazuju da homoseksualne i biseksualne osobe imaju dvostruko vecu sansu da tijekom zivota razviju neki psihicki poremecaj nego heteroseksualne osobe.Cilj ovog ...preglednog rada je prikazati kako se pojavu slabijeg mentalnog zdravlja i snizene dobrobiti osoba manjinske seksualne orijentacije moze objasniti modelom manjinskog stresa, koji istice izazove s kojima se pripadnici seksualnih manjina moraju svakodnevno suocavati - stigmu, predrasude i diskriminaciju koje stvaraju stresno okruzje u kojem LGB osobe zive. Definirani su i detaljno prikazani pojedini dijelovi Meyerovog modela manjinskog stresa zajedno s pregledom dosadasnjih empirijskih spoznaja o njihovoj ulozi u procesima vezanima za manjinski stres i mentalno zdravlje LGB osoba. S obzirom na to da je drustveni kontekst neizostavni dio ovog modela, posebno su prikazane dosadasnje provjere pojedinih dijelova modela i u hrvatskom kontekstu te je model manjinskog stresa sagledan iz perspektive hrvatskog drustva danas. Provedena istrazivanja pokazuju da se razliciti dijelovi modela manjinskog stresa LGB osoba potvrduju i u Hrvatskoj. Na temelju dosadasnjih spoznaja mozemo reci da LGB osobe koje su dozivjele nasilje i diskriminaciju imaju losije mentalno zdravlje, da prikrivanje manjinskog seksualnog identiteta umanjuje mogucnost diskriminacije i viktimizacije ali snizava samopostovanje i kvalitetu zivota dok je stupanj otvorenosti povecava, te da je ukljucenost u manjinsku zajednicu i aktivizam put do povecanja vidljivosti i prihvacenosti LGB osoba u hrvatskom drustvu. Konacno, radi obogacenja spoznaja o manjinskom stresu, posljednji doprinos rada je ukljucivanje nalazavezanih uz biseksualne osobe u ovaj pregled, kojima se potvrduje prisutnost dodatnog stresa zbog dvostruke diskriminacije ovih osoba i unutar manjinske zajednice.

ppm up to 1500
ppm. In this concentration range, chromium uptake was dependent on the concentration in the medium. Metallothioneins, involved in heavy metal binding, were measured by capillary electrophoresis (CE), and showed a dose-response induction. Protein profile analyzed by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis showed differential expression of several proteins. Identification of spots of upregulated proteins was performed by MALDI mass spectrometry. Results showed that proteins induced by heavy metal exposure are principally involved in oxidative stress tolerance or in other stress pathways. Induction of proteins implicated in sugar metabolism was also observed.
Identification of factors involved in plant response may lead to a better understanding of the mechanisms involved in cell protection and tolerance. This information could be used to improve agricultural production and environmental quality.

...okuyan öğrencilerin üniversiteye uyum ve algıladıkları stres durumlarını tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Karma yöntemle yapılan araştırmada “Üniversite Yaşamına Uyum Ölçeği”, “Algılanan Stres
Ölçeği” ve “Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu” kullanılmıştır. 2020 yılında 264 öğrenci ile yapılan
araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin üniversite yaşamına yüksek düzeyde uyum sağladıkları ve
stres algılarının düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Cinsiyet ve sınıf değişkenlerinin uyum ve stres durumlarını
etkilediği, kız öğrencilerin uyum puanlarının erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin uyum düzeylerinin diğer sınıflardaki öğrencilere göre daha düşük olduğu
belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin Türkiye’den geldikleri bölgelerin, mezun oldukları liselerin ve gelir düzeylerinin
uyum ve stres düzeylerini etkilemediği belirlenmiştir. Nitel bölümde ise, öğretim elemanlarıyla
kolay diyalog kurulabilmesinin, uyum sürecini kolaylaştıran önemli bir unsur olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Objective: What we know about the relationship between oxidative stress parameters and ischemic stroke is still limited and controversial. Our study aimed to investigate the relationships among ...ischemic lesion volume, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) values, and oxidant and antioxidant levels to determine whether oxidative stress paramaters is effective on stroke severity in ischemic stroke patients.
Methods: The study included 34 patients with ischemic stroke and 34 volunteers with no active diseases. Total Oxidant Status (TOS), Total Antioxidant Status (TAS), thiol, paraoxonase, stimulated paraoxonase (stparaoxonase) and arylesterase were measured in blood samples collected on admission from patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke. The Oxidative Stress Index (OSI) was calculated. The same oxidative stress parameters were measured in the control group and compared with the patient group. Correlation between the oxidative stress parameters, the infarct volume and the NIHSS was studied. NIHSS was calculated when patients were admitted to the emergency department. The infarct volume was calculated using diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging performed in the first 72-96 hours.
Results: TOS and OSI values were significantly higher in the case group than the control group. Paraoxonase, arylesterase, and thiol values were significantly lower in the case group than the control group. TAS and stparaoxonase values weren’t differed significantly between the case and control groups. There were significant negative correlations between the NIHSS value and both the paraoxonase value and stparaoxonase value. There were no significant correlations between the NIHSS value and the infarct volume and the TAS, TOS, OSI, arylesterase, and thiol values.
Conclusion: We concluded that change in oxidative stress balance in favor of oxidants could be a cause in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke but oxidative stress alone can’t be sufficient in predicting the severity of stroke.
This research purpose to know the effectiveness of relaxation technique in behavioral group counseling to reducing academic stress at senior high school students. Research use one-group ...pretest-posttest design. The subject are selected 5 students based on high scores academic stress scale. Instruments used the scale academic stress was developed from various theories stress by Hans Selye (1976), Lazarus and Folkman (1984) with reliability is 0.898 and item validity > 0.3. Data were analyzed using wilcoxon signed ranks test. The analysis showed the Z count value is -2.032 with significance level of 0.042 <0.05 which can be concluded that relaxation techniques effective for reducing academic stress of senior high school students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas teknik relaksasi dalam konseling kelompok behavioral untuk menurunkan stres belajar siswa SMA. Penelitian menggunakan one-group pretest- posttest design. Subjek sebanyak 5 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan skor tinggi skala stres belajar. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala stres belajar yang dikembangkan dari berbagai teori stres oleh Hans Selye (1976), Lazarus dan Folkman (1984) dengan reliabilitas 0.898 dan validitas per butir > 0.3. Data dianalisis dengan uji beda wilcoxon signed ranks test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai Z hitung -2,032 dengan taraf signifikansi 0.042 < 0.05 yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik relaksasi efektif untuk menurunkan stres belajar siswa SMA.
