Tc-3PRGD2). The correlation of angiogenetic activity of the thymus and the serum Tg levels was evaluated in patients with enlarged thymus.
Enlarged thymus was detected in 9 out of the 30 TENIS patients and all hyperplastic thymus showed an increased accumulation of the tracer (median tumor/background ratio: 2.8). Five of them had only mediastinal uptake and surgical removal of the mediastinal mass in one provided histopathologic evidence of thymic tissue. The other four were not assigned further treatment and were free of disease in the follow-up, though their stimulated Tg levels consistently increased. Four out of the 9 patients showed
Tc-3PRGD2 uptake outside the mediastinum were assigned surgery followed by radioiodine treatment. Their stimulated Tg levels decreased after iodine ablation, but not drop back to normal. A significant linear correlation was observed between serum Tg levels and the degree of angiogenesis in the hyperplastic thymus.
The angiogenetic activity in hyperplastic thymus was related with the consistently elevated serum Tg levels in TENIS syndrome patients. Based on the existing literature and current data, we propose further intervention for patients with RGD uptake outside thymus, while close follow-up for patients with only mediastinal uptake.
The purpose of this study was to find out whether the practice of block and random practice on forehand and backhand groundstrokes results in tennis games. The method used is experimental method with ...Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Sample that used for this research is purposive sampling that chossed with some criteria, 30 people with classification (age ± 19), (height ± 155), (weight ± 45), (22 boys, 8 girls) then divided by block practice group and random practice group . The result of forehand study improvement, average score of block practice increase to 8.60 (Sig. 0.05) and average score of random practice increase to 5.80 (Sig. 0.05). Mean while the result of backhand study improvement, both of method are not giving significant improvement, that average score block practice is 2.53 (Sig. 0.05) and average score random practice method did not increase significantly (Sig. 0.05). In this case, it can be concluded that the block and random practice method significantly improves learning outcomes on the forehand but not the backhand blows. On the other hand, the comparison of the increasing in learning outcomes between the two methods did not show significant results either on forehand or backhand in the tennis game. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaturan block dan random practice terhadap hasil belajar forehand dan backhand groundstroke dalam permainan tenis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel purposive yang dipilih melalui kriteria sebanyak 30 orang dengan klasifikasi (age ± 19), (tb ± 155), (bb ± 45), (22 laki-laki, 8 perempuan) kemudian dibagi kelompok block practice dan kelompok random practice. Hasil peningkatan terhadap belajar forehand, rata-rata skor block practice meningkat sebesar 8.60 (Sig. 0.05) dan rata-rata skor random practice meningkat sebesar 5.80 (Sig. 0.05). Sedangkan pada hasil belajar backhand, kedua metode tersebut tidak memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu rata-rata skor block practice adalah 2.53 (Sig. 0.05) dan rata-rata skor random practice -1.46 (Sig. 0.05). Perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar forehand dan backhand antara metode block practice dan random practice tidak mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan (Sig. 0.05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode block dan random practice meningkatkan secara signifikan hasil belajar pada pukulan forehand namun tidak pada pukulan backhand. Di sisi lain perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar antara kedua metode tersebut tidak menunjukan hasil yang signifikan baik itu pada pukulan forehand maupun backhand dalam permainan tenis.

U ovom radu dat ...je pregled podataka o životnom putu i stvaralaštvu tog značajnog Koprivničanca. Poticaj za ova istraživanja bio je kolokvij o Žarku Dolinaru, koji su 2020., a u povodu njegove stote godišnjice rođenja, organizirali Grad Koprivnica, Muzej grada i Povijesno društvo. U prvom dijelu rada iznose se poznati i dosad manje poznati podaci iz životopisa Žarka Dolinara. Kako je to za njega rekao hrvatski nobelovac Lavoslav Ružička, »Dolinar je jedan od najkompletnijih i najaktivnijih akademičara koje sam upoznao«. S obzirom da se Dolinar intenzivno bavio sportom (bio je i svjetski prvak u stolnom tenisu), znanošću (u Zagrebu i Švicarskoj), te osobito kolekcionarstvom, društvenim i kulturnim djelovanjem, njegov životopis je vrlo bogat i kompleksan, pa ovaj rad predstavlja tek mali prinos poznavanju njegova djelovanja, te je možda poticaj za nova i temeljitija istraživanja.
A unique case study is presented using the triangulated mixed method design, conducted with a tennis player who aspires to be a semifinalist in a national individual tennis tournament and presents ...motivation problems. Eight weekly sessions were carried out and followed up, with the objective of strengthening the motivation components proposed in the motivational coaching model "The Canton’s Giraffe", using the Socratic dialogue. The efficacy of the intervention was assessed by a pre-post administration of the following three questionnaires: Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale, Self-Esteem Scale of Rosenberg, 1965), and General Self-Efficacy Scale from Schwarzer and Baessler. At the end of the intervention positive results were obtained in the variables measured, in accordance with similar studies. These findings highlight the need to conduct more research; especially in the sports field in order to optimize the use of "The Cantón’s Giraffe" as a tool and coaching as a psychological intervention methodology
Se presenta un estudio de caso único utilizando un diseño mixto de triangulación metodológica, realizado con un tenista que aspira a quedar semifinalista en un torneo nacional de tenis individual. Se hicieron ocho sesiones semanales y una de seguimiento, con el objetivo de fortalecer los componentes del modelo de coaching motivacional “La Jirafa de Cantón” utilizando el diálogo socrático. La eficacia de la intervención fue evaluada mediante una administración pre-post (línea base e intervención) de tres cuestionarios: la “Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryffl, Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg, y la Escala de Autoeficacia General de Schwarzer y Baessler. Al finalizar la intervención, se obtuvieron resultados positivos en todas las variables medidas, en la línea de otros estudios similares. Estos hallazgos ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de una mayor investigación, especialmente en el ámbito deportivo para optimizar “La Jirafa de Cantón” como instrumento y el coaching como metodología de intervención psicológica.
This study aimed to explore the relationship between functional movement screen (FMS) scores and injury severity in young tennis players. Additionally, we investigated the effect of the ...characteristics of the training programme on injury severity. During the annual testing and screening, we assessed 181 tennis players aged between 12 and 18. The Functional Movement Screen was used to measure multiple movement factors, to detect deficits in gross movement quality, to identify movement asymmetries, and to predict general musculoskeletal injury risk. The cohorts’ mean composite FMS score was 16.02 ± 1.98. Players scored higher in shoulder mobility and active straight leg raise, while the lower scores were obtained in the deep squat and rotary stability. We found that the FMS composite scores were higher for players who had not been injured and lower for players who had not trained or competed for >4 weeks due to injury. There was a significant association between the FMS composite score and injury severity. Namely, the group of players who had been injured for >4 weeks, reached the lower average FMS score (14.95). It was found that more hours of tennis practice per week increased, significantly, the injury severity, while more hours of fitness and conditioning practise decreased significantly the injury risk for the 6-months following the FMS testing.
El objetivo de este estudio fue explorar la relación entre las puntuaciones de las Pruebas de Movimiento Funcional (FMS) y la severidad de las lesiones en jóvenes jugadores de tenis. Además, se investigó el efecto de las características del programa de entrenamiento sobre la severidad de la lesión. Durante las pruebas y exámenes anuales evaluamos a 181 jugadores de tenis de entre 12 y 18 años de edad. La FMS se utilizó para medir múltiples factores de movimiento, para detectar deficiencias en la calidad del movimiento amplio, para identificar asimetrías de movimiento y para predecir el riesgo general de sufrir lesiones músculo esqueléticas. La puntuación promedio del FMS compuesto del grupo fue de 16,02 ± 1,98. Los jugadores obtuvieron una puntuación más alta en la movilidad de los hombros y en el levantamiento activo de la pierna estirada, mientras que las puntuaciones más bajas se dieron en la sentadilla profunda y la estabilidad rotatoria. Se ha constatado que los jugadores que no se habían lesionado obtuvieron puntuaciones compuestas de la FMS mayores, mientras que las más bajas las obtuvieron los jugadores que no habían entrenado o competido durante más de 4 semanas debido a una lesión. Se encontró una asociación significativa entre la puntuación compuesta de la FMS y la duración de la lesión. Concretamente el grupo de jugadores que había estado lesionados durante más de 4 semanas alcanzaron la puntuación media de FMS menor (14,95). Los jugadores que participaron en más entrenamientos y sesiones de preparación física se ausentaron con menos frecuencia de los entrenamientos y torneos.

In managing histologically aggressive carcinoma of the thyroid, 18F-FDG PET/CT has a proven role. The theranostic potential has been explored with PET/CT using 68Ga-SSA, 68Ga-PSMA,68Ga-FAPI, and 68Ga-DOTA-RGD. The 124I PET/CT role is just being investigated for better spatial resolution and helps in dosimetry.
The aim of this study was to know if the induced variability during the tennis flat serve has specific and individually effects on the performance achieved. The participants were eight tennis ...players. Each one performed seven series of twenty flat serves. The shot’s situations were modified within each series, by changing implement and mobile instruments and support points. The ball’s speed was registered and the bounces on the court filmed. These data were later digitalised to calculate the accuracy through radial error. Intra-subject data were analysed and the significance of the produced change was evaluated after every performance series where the variability was applied, compared to the 1st series where the variability was not applied ‒the tennis players performed as they usually do. Accuracy results show greater falls in amateur tennis players than in expert players in the series of variable performance. Falls are also registered in the ball’s speed in the series of variable performance in both groups, but they are more pronounced in the amateur players’ group. Through these results, we can confirm that induced variability as a means of learning or training affects each player in different ways depending on his/her game level. For this reason, it would be convenient to quantify and individualise the variability load based on the different effects it produces in each player’s performance.
El objetivo de este estudio fue conocer los efectos de la variabilidad inducida durante la práctica del servicio plano en tenis sobre el rendimiento logrado. Participaron 8 jugadores de tenis. Cada tenista realizó 7 series de 20 servicios planos. En cada serie se modificaron las situaciones de golpeo, variando implementos, móviles y apoyos. Se registró la velocidad de la pelota y se filmaron los botes de la pelota en la pista, digitalizando posteriormente los mismos para el cálculo de la precisión a través del error-radial. Se analizaron los datos intra-sujeto y se evaluó la significatividad del cambio producido por cada serie de práctica variable respecto a la serie 1 de ejecución habitual -sin aplicar variabilidad-. Los resultados de precisión muestran mayores descensos en los jugadores amateurs que en los jugadores de nivel nacional en las series de práctica variable. Se observan descensos en la velocidad de la bola en las series de práctica variable en ambos grupos, siendo más acusados en los jugadores amateurs. A partir de estos resultados, se confirma que la variabilidad inducida como medio de aprendizaje o entrenamiento afecta diferente en función del jugador y de su nivel de juego. Por tanto, sería conveniente cuantificar e individualizar la carga de variabilidad en función de sus efectos sobre el rendimiento de cada jugador.
