The development of computerized technology requires many parties to compete in using a computerized system to improve the performance and effectiveness of a company or agency. Likewise with the ...Harmonis Bookstore (TB) which so far is still using the manual method in its sales system. This can affect performance and company profits. Overcoming this matter, TB Harmonis created a desktop-based computerized sales information system so that it can improve company performance to be fast, accurate and can do data processing on a large scale which can affect profit and can compete with other similar companies. The system development method in this study uses Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST) method. FAST is a combination of several systems development methods consisting of 7 phase of development. Modeling the system using UML consisting of use case diagrams, activity diagrams and class diagrams. The results of this study are book sales information systems which can improve the performance, effectiveness and efficiency of Harmonis TB Palembang.
The UML Activity Diagram (UAD) is mostly used for modeling behavioral aspects of objects and systems. OCL (Object Constraint Language) is used together with UAD to specify guard conditions and action ...constraints. Due to the ambiguous semantics of UAD, it is relevant to formalize such diagrams using formal semantics and formal methods. In this paper, we opt for a formal transformation of UML activity diagrams denoted by functional semantics into FoCaLiZe, a proof based formal language. The ultimate goal is to detect eventual inconsistencies of UML activity diagrams and to prove their properties using Zenon, the automatic theorem prover of FoCaLiZe. In addition to the proposed formal basis for UAD. The presented approach directly supports action constraints, activity partitions and the communication between structural and dynamic aspects of UML models.
Abstract: The current study attempted to generate an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) attendance device as a bridge of attendance for the Computer Lab Assistant of Budi Luhur to overcome ongoing problems such as queues, complexity when inputting, and manipulation of attendance time to return. The development of this system uses agile methods that can handle the risk of failure in the small and large-scale system development stages. The system design stage uses UML. The data was collected using observation, interviews, and questionnaires in the Budi Luhur Integrated ICT LAB environment. The outcomes of the viability examination expert assessment attained a rate of 90 percent (highly achievable), the practicality test achieved a level of 92 (highly achievable), the security test attained a level of 90 (practicable), the large-group trial achieved a level of 90 (highly achievable). It can be concluded that designing a system using UML with RFID technology can increase the effectiveness of attendance and solve problems in it.
The work presents an analysis of the possibilities of applying it systems modeling methodologies in the management of legal knowledge. Legal knowledge is a specific type of knowledge that is ...characterized by a unique dynamic, which is law. The constant volatility of legal regulations means that in some areas, e.g. accounting, it can cause unnecessary errors in the books, as well as cause costs in the form of penalties. The area of application of ICT tools in supporting the management of legal knowledge in Poland has not yet been examined, which allows us to conclude that this article goes in the direction of filling gaps. The research method used is an experiment consisting in creating a model of legal knowledge management using ontology. The experiment used the classic approach to creating IT solutions based on UML notation.
Through the IT utilization, stakeholders in rural tourism can engage in e-collaboration to develop tourism products and services together. While existing literature has not extensively addressed the ...e-collaboration model specifically tailored for rural tourism, this research sheds light on the emerging role of IT and its value within this context. To effectively model the intricate and less-structured environment of e-collaboration in rural tourism, the SSM is deemed the most suitable approach. Nonetheless, one limitation of SSM is the absence of explicit references during the implementation stage, requiring an additional methodological approach to realize the e-collaboration conceptual model within a system. To overcome this limitation, the present study applies both SSM and UML an e-collaboration system for rural tourism. The findings of this research can serve as a valuable reference for the development of an e-collaboration tool.
Several approaches and tools have been proposed to facilitate the automatic generation of Unified Modeling Language (UML) class diagrams from natural language specifications, based on advances in ...Natural Language Processing (NLP). However, these tools suffer from difficulties due to the inherent imprecision and ambiguity commonly found in natural language expressions. In this article, we present an overview and a study of approaches and tools designed to extract UML diagrams from textual requirements using NLP and computational linguistics techniques. Furthermore, we introduce approaches employing deep learning techniques. Next, we provide a descriptive study and comparative analysis of the limitations and contributions of these automatic and semiautomatic tools, as well as solutions for improving the existing state of the art.
