In the constant-temperature indoor environment, the static principles of rubber materials for vibration damping in vehicles and the load and application scope of the experiments are studied in this ...paper. Basic experiments are carried out for common rubber materials in vehicle system by using advanced experimental equipment.
Biodynamic (BD) agriculture became the subject of research efforts during the past decades, whereas a part of the scientific community looks at the BD method with skepticism and marks it as dogmatic. ...Nevertheless, as explored in this review, a fair share of the available peer-reviewed research results of controlled field experiments as well as case studies show effects of BD preparations on yield, soil quality and biodiversity. Moreover, BD preparations express a positive environmental impact in terms of energy use and efficiency. However, the underlying natural science mechanistic principle of BD preparations is still under investigation. In addition, quality determination methods, based on holistic approaches, are increasingly being investigated and recognized. BD farming strives, as manifested in several publications, to positively impact cultural landscape design as well. Summarized data showed that further research is needed and thus encouraged in the field of food quality comparison/determination, food safety, environmental performance (e.g., footprints), and on the effects of BD farming practices on farm animals.
This paper describes a style of basic experiments of engineering that has been developed with engineering design education in mind. Since 2011, it has been mandatory to provide the following when ...submitting a report: an “Evaluation Checklist” that facilitates a self-evaluation of the achievement status and an “Engineering Design Skills Report” that encourages self-learning with an awareness of engineering design skills training. In addition, for basic experiments of engineering in the second grade, facilitation techniques have been introduced and initiatives such as arranging separate discussion times have been adopted. Furthermore, as a result of introducing continuous educational improvements while conducting a questionnaire every year, it has been determined that many students can acquire communication skills and teamwork skills through basic experiments of engineering.
The Combined Convection-Radiation air conditioning system using building structure is a system that combines the strengths of the TABS and convection systems. The purpose of this study was to ...investigate the specification of this system and determine its thermal performance. For the experiment, two concrete test specimens were prepared assuming this system and general TABS. The placement method for the pipes and the airflow conditions around the test specimens were varied, and a comparison of the changes in the thermal performance. This paper indicates the strengths and weaknesses of this system compared with general TABS.
Advancing higher education is an important goal within the scientific and medical communities. The Korean Endocrine Society has worked with medical researchers who hope to conduct molecular research ...in addition to their clinical education. Based on concepts developed at a 2016 educational workshop, this article summarizes the requirement for a strong foundation in the performance of molecular research. Specifically, recent articles in metabolic research are highlighted to provide examples of commonly used techniques in this field of study.

Based on the analysis of the results of experimental studies of 12Х18Н10Т stainless steel specimens under a rigid (controlled deformation) process of deformation, which includes a sequence of ...monotonic and cyclic loading modes, some features and differences in isotropic and anisotropic hardening processes under monotonic and cyclic loading are revealed. To describe these features within the framework of the theory of plasticity in the space of the plastic strain tensor, a criterion for changing the direction of plastic deformation and a memory surface are introduced, which made it possible to separate the processes of monotonic and cyclic deformation. To describe the transient processes, evolutionary equations are formulated for the parameters of isotropic and anisotropic hardening. The calculated and experimental changes in the stress-strain states are compared for the process of monotonic and cyclic loading.
