The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that measure the preferences of customers for domestic and international hotels operating in Pakistan. A questionnaire derived from previous ...studies was completed by 200 hotel-customers in Pakistan. Data is analyzed using SPSS software by employing factor analysis with VERIMEX rotation and multiple regressions The results indicate that international hotels have more attributes and are preferred by customers as compare to domestic hotels. The study reinforces and refines the body of knowledge relating the service innovation and customer choices for hotel industry in Pakistan. The study also tries to highlight the relative importance of tangible and intangible factors in the hotel sector It may establish useful base for future empirical work in this field, at least in developing countries.
In recent years, as the relationship marketing becomes an important part of enterprises' marketing activities, more enterprises start to take seriously to the relationship with the customers, based ...on this, there comes the concept of relationship benefits. Scholars believe that the establishment of strong customer relationship should be an important means for an enterprise to gain competitive advantage. Enterprises hope the customers can take the largest benefits from the relationship. Customer sex types have significant correlation with relationships, different sex types customers have different benefits preference. This paper firstly explores the basic dimensions of relationship benefits in services markets based on literature review for the past years, then analyzes the relationship benefits preference of different sex type customers. Finally, this paper proposes a relationship benefits management strategy. The findings of this paper are directions for future research and managerial implications.
Nowadays customer preference has aroused concerns in customer satisfaction researches of e-learning, but specifications of user psychology can not been stated clearly in existing tools. This paper ...describes an individual-centered e-learning tool taking into account the full spectrum of Web mining techniques and activities, presents a multi-agents architecture based on artificial psychology techniques, which will make the e-learning process both adaptable and dynamic, and hence up-to-date. Knowledge base techniques are used to support the adaptation of agents' cycle, and artificial psychology techniques and beliefs techniques are combined to manage preference and experimental knowledge and to realize more effective and more precise knowledge management.
This paper presents a text mining-based recommendation system to assist customer decision making in online product customization. The proposed system allows customers to describe their interests in ...textual format, and thus to capture customers' preferences to generate accurate recommendations. The system employs text mining techniques to learn product features, and accordingly recommends products that match the customers' preferences. The effectiveness of the suggested recommendation methodology is validated by experimental evaluations

In the early stage of product design, mining customer preference is the key issue to the development of satisfactory products. This paper builds a preference model from a set of historical ...transaction to catch what customer wants in mass customization. An artificial neural-network decision tree algorithm (ANN-DT) is employed to model customer preference on different product families. It is able to extract with rules of customer preference with high fidelity. To illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a case study of personal computers is reported.
Although various emerging technologies have been launched, they present limitations as far as offering full-scale ubiquitous services independently is concerned. In view of this fact, service ...providers are likely to provide bundled services among possible combinations of services. Indeed, making a timely decision regarding the value maximization of bundled service is directly related to service providers' future growth and success in the turbulent market environment. This paper aims to find the optimal service bundle among five emerging mobile services: T-DMB, S-DMB, WiBro, HSDPA, and Telematics. Considering what kinds of service features among the five emerging services offer differentiation to customers, we examine four attributes (TV, voice, portable wireless internet, and location-based services) using conjoint analysis to distinguish the service features. Our results show that TV service is the most favored among the attributes, followed by voice service in second position, and the internet and location-based service in third and fourth place respectively. Our result implies that mobile operators would be better off bundling HSDPA and S-DMB first, and then adding other services later, while fixed operators would be better off bundling WiBro and S-DMB first and other services later.
Freeze-process has been applied in preserving many fresh horticultural commodities addressed to the medium-distancing distribution. In this study, effect of freezing process and storage time on ...durian's attributes degradation was observed. 100 durian fruits were treated with two-level combinations of freezing process. The first level involves the freezing of the said fruit at -15°C for two different freezing times, that is 10 min (treatment A) and 20 min (treatment B). Followed by frozen-storage for -10°C for 0, 10, 20 and 30 days. At different interval time, the frozen samples were thawed at 4°C for 24h. Then, physical, chemical, and sensory parameters were periodically assessed. The result showed that treatment B provide a significantly better output than treatment A. This is proven through a lower weight loss, brighter and lighter yellow of the pulp, softer pulp, lower value of moisture content on the pulp, and a remained stable of succinate acid's profile. Furthermore, based on the preference evaluation test, the fruits were accepted by respondents.
