Abstract: This study aims to reveal the difficulties of students in understanding the concept of 1 Dimensional motion kinematics. The research subjects were 38 undergraduate students of UNESA Physics ...Education semester V class A. The research method used a survey using instruments in the form of 20 reasoned multiple choice questions on the topic of Newtonian Mechanics. In this article the discussion is focused on questions number 2 and number 4 because it indicates the difficulties of students in understanding the concept of 1-dimensional kinematics. From the results of the analysis of the reasons for student answers it is known that students experience difficulties, namely, difficulties in distinguishing position, displacement or distance; difficulty interpreting negative acceleration and is always considered a slowdown.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep kinematika gerak 1 Dimensi. Subjek penelitian adalah 38 mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Fisika UNESA semester V kelas A. Metode penelitian menggunakan survei dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda beralasan pada topik Mekanika Newton. Pada artikel ini pembahasan difokuskan pada soal nomor 2 dan nomor 4 karena mengindikasikan kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep kinematika 1 dimensi. Dari hasil analisis alasan jawaban mahasiswa diketahui bahwa mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan yakni, kesulitan dalam membedakan posisi, perpindahan atau jarak; kesulitan memaknai percepatan negatif dan selalu dianggap sebagai perlambatan.
Spider camera (spidercam) is a camera equipped with a movement system that resembles the movement of a spider. The camera can move in a three-dimensional field by pulling and stretching the rope or ...cables arranged in a certain configuration. This study proposed the use of an inverse kinematic to control the movement of the camera. This method is seeking the relationship between the desired coordinates with the angle that must be moved from each motor that composes it. To move the motor, an analytically tuned PID controller is employed. Experimental results show that using the proposed system, the camera is successfully placed in accordance with the desired position with 100% accuracy. From motor response side, however, the system's performance still needs to be improved so that a smoother movement can be obtained
Abstract: This research examines the increase of students’ ability in working with graph. This research is conducted by involving 58 students in class X SMA Negeri 5 Malang as the subjects. Students ...are given kinematics learning by making models of various representations including graphics. The ability of students are assessed using multiple choice questions in graphic format. The improvement of students’ ability is observed from the average score pretest and posttest. The analysis shows that there is a significant increase (p = 0.00) with the results of the N-Gain calculation of 0.25 including the medium category. Students are able to change the understanding of graph after learning even though the WYSIWYG effect is still very influential on the way students interpretation graph.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan siswa bekerja dengan grafik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan subjek 58 siswa kelas X SMA N 5 Malang. Siswa diberikan pembelajaran kinematika dengan membuat model berbagai representasi termasuk grafik. Kemampuan siswa diukur menggunakan soal-soal multiple choice dalam format grafik. Peningkatan kemampuan siswa ditinjau dari skor rata-rata pretest dan posttest. Analisis menunjukkan ada peningkatan signifikan (p=0,000) dengan hasil perhitungan N-Gain sebesar 0,25 termasuk kategori sedang. Siswa mampu mengubah pemahaman tentang grafik setelah pembelajaran meskipun efek WYSIWYG masih sangat berpengaruh pada cara siswa menginterpretasikan grafik.
In the world of physics education, there are still many inconsistency in the representation of physical quantities in daily delivery, both in written and oral. But not many researches are really ...focused on the issue, so that research is done to understand the consistency of the basic level of physical scale and its representation on the kinematics. The research has been done by mixed method method of embedded correlational design model. The study participants amounted to 20 students in the 3rd semester who have passed the basic physics courses 1. The data were collected using physical consistency knowledge consistency test and its representation, consisting of seven questions with chain answers. Quantitative data analysis used descriptive analysis and qualitative data analysis used data reduction and interpretation. The result of data analysis shows that consistency of knowledge base level representation of physical quantity consisting of consistency of basic knowledge and consistency of basic use physical quantity and its representation still low. The result of the data analysis shows the consistency of knowledge of physical quantity and the use of represetation of physical quantity, all students are at level 5 / KRLV5 (low consistency level 5). Abstrak: Dalam dunia pendidikan fisika masih banyak ditemukan ketidakkonsistenan representasi besaran fisis dalam penyampainnya sehari-hari, baik secara tertulis maupun lisan. Namun, belum banyak penelitian yang benar-benar fokus membahas isu tersebut sehingga penelitian dilakukan untuk memahami pola konsistensi besaran fisis tingkat dasar dan representasinya pada materi kinematika pada mahasiswa. Manipulator robot memiliki 4 DOF (Degree of Freedom), semua sambungan bersifat revolute serta dilengkapi dengan pointer di end-effector. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinematika maju dan ...terbalik dari robot manipulator yang didesain dengan menggunakan SolidWorks untuk mendapatkan model 3-D dan menggunakan Sismscape Multibody Link generasi pertama untuk mengekspor CAD agar mendapatkan format file XML dan STL. Kemudian memersekusi file XML dengan Jendela perintah MATLAB untuk memperoleh diagram blok robot di Simulink. Mengembangkan GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) menggunakan Matlab untuk mengendalikan lengan dan menentukan kinematika maju dan terbalik. Pertama, membuat skema robot yang akan digambar dengan semua dimensi yang berlabel. Selanjutnya, tetapkan bingkai koordinat ke diagram robot sesuai dengan algoritme DH (Denavit-Hartenberg) dan kinematika maju lengkap akan dianalisis pada robot menggunakan persamaan Homogeneous Transformation Matrix yang memerlukan notasi. Hasil akhir dari Homogeneous Transformation Matrix akan menghasilkan orientasi dan posisi dari end-effector. Selain itu, analisis kinematika terbalik juga akan dilakukan pada dua titik yang diasumsikan, misalnya, mengangkat dan menempatkan dalam ruang kerja dengan menggunakan simulasi GUI sehingga akan diperoleh nilai sudut dari setiap joint.
This book presents the nonlinear theory of continuum mechanics and demonstrates its use in developing nonlinear computer formulations for large displacement dynamic analysis. Basic concepts used in ...continuum mechanics are presented and used to develop nonlinear general finite element formulations that can be effectively used in large displacement analysis. The book considers two nonlinear finite element dynamic formulations: a general large deformation finite element formulation and a formulation that can efficiently solve small deformation problems that characterize very stiff structures. The book presents material clearly and systematically, assuming the reader has only basic knowledge in matrix and vector algebra and dynamics. Abstract: This study aims to examine students' critical thinking skills on a one-dimensional kinematics graph. This quantitative descriptive model involved 51 final semester students and 32 early ...semester students. The test instrument was in the form of two description questions with 4 indicators of critical thinking skills, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The results show that students have critical thinking skills in the low category, with the average score of the final semester students being slightly higher than the average grade of the early semester students. Students have difficulty determining the instantaneous speed of the graph of the time and displacement position of the time velocity graph.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada grafik kinematika satu dimensi. Model deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan 51 mahasiswa semester akhir dan 32 mahasiswa semester awal. Instrumen tes berupa dua soal uraian dengan empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis, yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategori rendah, dengan nilai rata-rata mahasiswa semester akhir sedikit lebih tinggi dari pada nilai rata-rata mahasiswa semester awal. Mahasiswa kesulitan menentukan kecepatan sesaat dari grafik posisi waktu dan perpindahan dari grafik kecepatan waktu.
