Improving image resolution has broad applications and is an important research topic. Recently, a hybrid method Adaptive Sparse Domain Selection (ASDS) combining a reconstruction-based method and an ...example-based method has been proposed to take advantage of the two, but may not reconstruct sufficient details. In this study, the authors propose to improve ASDS: Zeyde's method is first used to obtain an intermediate image with high-frequency details, and then the obtained image is used to replace the autoregressive model of ASDS as the example-based term. In addition, the authors may split the input image into patches and use different parameter settings for the patches of different amount of details. Experimental results demonstrate the improved hybrid methods can produce high-quality images quantitatively and perceptually.
In this paper, a concept of technology that can be helpful for lowering the negative influence of the synthetic (based on the Solvay process) soda ash plant on the natural environment is presented. ...We describe the desulphurisation of combustion gases from the factory's power plant, which is based on their absorption in the overflow of distiller waste. The excess of lime milk, which is added in the process of ammonia regeneration from filter liquor, results in a strong alkalinity of distiller waste. The high pH of distiller waste favours absorption of acidic combustion gases. The laboratory-scale tests showed about 80% efficiency of the desulphurisation process. The suspension samples we obtained consist mainly of CaCO
3. We suggest using the obtained solid phase as an adsorbent-insert in Fluidised Bed Combustion technology (FBC).

In the present study, a simple, stability-indicating and cost-effective reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was developed and validated for the determination of ...piroxicam in commercial and masterful formulation capsules as an alternative to existing methods. The improved HPLC method was carried out on a C18 column (150 mm x 4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm), maintained at 30 °C. The mobile-phase consisted of a solution of triethylamine 0.3% pH 5.0 and acetonitrile (70:30; v/v), run at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and using photodiode array (PDA) detection at 248 nm. The chromatographic separation is obtained with retention time of 6.8 min, presenting adequate system suitability parameters for HPLC analysis. Validation parameters such as the specificity, linearity, matrix effect, precision, accuracy and robustness were evaluated in accordance with the ICH Q2(R1) and Brazil RDC 166/17 requirements, giving satisfactory results within the acceptable range. The proposed method was successfully validated and applied for piroxicam analysis, contributing to improve the quality control, and can be used as easy, accurate, low time-consuming alternative to pharmacopeial quantification methodology of drug.
Various aspects related to combined distiller waste utilization with combustion gas desulphurization technology were analyzed. The desulphurization of combustion gases from the factory's power plant, ...which was based on their absorption in the overflow of distiller waste, was described. The excess of lime milk, which was added in the process of ammonia regeneration from filter liquor, resulted in a strong alkalinity of distiller waste. The laboratory-scale tests showed about 80% efficiency of the desulphurization process. Economic estimation showed that reduction of environmental charges for combustion gas emissions generated the highest income. Considering the total effect, the results indicated that the technology was unprofitable. Clean technologies should be promoted, a fact made visible from the estimation of the running costs of desulphurization technology.
In the mining industry, many companies that provide maintenance services fail to comply with the stipulated times, thus paralyzing their main processes. This problem affects an Off the Road (OTR) ...tire retail company, whose post-sales process focuses on providing technical services. This company currently reports a 65% service level. The research study shows that this occurs for three reasons: poor diagnostic process, reprocessing, and absence of spare parts in stock. Business Process Management (BPM) and Standardization were proposed to address the problem reported by the diagnostic process; Method Improvement to eliminate the reprocessing issues evidenced in tire retreading and Air Pressure, and finally the Maximum and Minimum Model to counteract the lack of spare parts in stock. The validation of the improvement proposal is conducted through the Arena Simulator program, wherein it was possible to improve the service level to an optimal level. The viability is approved through the favorable results from the economic considerations, such as Net Present Value (NPV) and the Internal Rate of Return (IRR). Finally, the environmental and organizational impact are evaluated. It is concluded that the implementation of the improvement proposal has a feasible impact on the parameters, and that the need arises to maintain them in the long term.
최근 선진국을 중심으로 기업에 대한 투자와 평가에서 ESG는 가장 중요한 판단기준이 되었다. 이에 부동산에도 ESG 요인은 반영되고 있으며 가치에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 이 연구는 일반 오피스 빌딩과 ESG오피스 빌딩을 구분하여 임대료에 유의한 차이가 있는지 살펴본 후에 ESG 오피스 빌딩에 대한 비교방식과 수익방식 평가에서 ESG 요인 중 특히 ‘E’ ...요인에 대하여 이를 어떻게 반영하여 평가해야 하는지 제시하였다. 비교방식인 거래사례비교법에서는 사례선정이 가장 중요한데 그 기준으로 G-seed 최우수등급, 2등급 또는 LEED Platinum, Gold 등급을 받은 건물을 선정기준으로 적용할 수 있다. 일반 오피스 빌딩과 비교할 때에는 구체적인 비교항목을 제시하였다. 수익방식에서는 서울역과 삼성역 초역세권 유사 오피스 빌딩 14개소를 조사해본 결과 ESG 오피스 빌딩인 경우는 일반 오피스 빌딩에 비하여 임대료 수입에 있어 우세성(경쟁력)을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타나 이를 적정히 반영하여 평가하여야 함을 제시하였다.
In recent years, ESG has become the most important criterion for investment and evaluation in enterprises, especially in developed countries. Accordingly, ESG factors are reflected in real estate and are also affecting value. After examining whether there is a significant difference in rent between general and ESG office buildings, this study suggests how to reflect and evaluate ESG factors, especially the 'E' factor, in the comparative and profitable evaluation of ESG office buildings. In a sales comparison approach, case selection is the most important, and as a standard, buildings with G-seed best grade, second grade, or LEED Platinum and Gold grade can be applied as a selection criterion. When compared to general office buildings, specific comparison items were present. According to a survey of fourteen similar office buildings around Seoul Station and Samseong Station, ESG office buildings have an advantage in rent income (competitiveness) over general office buildings, which should be properly reflected and evaluated in appraisals.
Basis path testing is an important test method in white box testing. This method generates a set of linearly independent paths, which we called basis paths, from Control Flow Graph (CFG) and all the ...other paths can be expressed by them. However, when applying these basis paths to designing test cases, we will always find that some of them are infeasible when understanding from business logic. In this paper we put forward a new idea to simply CFG, at the same time to avoid the generation of infeasible paths in the set of basis paths.
The test method is discussed which increases the environment stress and the working stress to stimulate failures in products without damage, besides, the method which converts the acceleration stress ...test time to working time is put forward to evaluate the MTBF and first overhaul period of the product. In order to stimulate potential failures, the technology of colligating reliability test and life test is studied in the brake system of a certain aircraft, in which the environment stress is not statistical stress but its kind and magnitude are established in allusion to the weak links. Rated working stress which corresponds to antiskid brake rule is brought into the test profile and the contamination tolerance test of hydraulic system is conducted. As a result, latent failures of the break system are activated in a short time; the test which needs 5200 working hours to finish is ended in 200 hours; reliability growth rate achieves 0.65; the MTBF of the brake system increases to 848h from 28h in the beginning, and the first overhaul period of new developed products in the break system attains 1250 takeoff-landing times.
The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for analyzing and improving clerical work in indirectly related sections. It is generally recognized that the productivity in indirectly related ...sections of Japanese firms is inferior to that of directly related sections and that in western companies. However, a methodology for identifying wastes and improving the productivity of clerical work has not been sufficiently investigated in the area of method engineering. This paper proposes a method for analyzing clerical work by steps using standard Japanese language structure. These steps are consolidated into purposeful tasks so that the work can be analyzed as a hierarchical structure of tasks and work steps. The paper further presents systematic checklists for identifying wastes and listing improvement ideas at three levels, such as eliminating tasks, eliminating work steps and simplifying each work step. These results are applied to the actual case of office work at a bank and practical improvement ideas are systematically listed.
