Nagli porast velikog broja interkulturalnih modela počinje prije više od dva desetljeća u društvenim znanostima, a posebno u njihovim disciplinama kao što su menadžment, zdravstvo, savjetovanje, ...socijalni rad, psihologija i obrazovanje. Interkulturalni modeli mogu pomoći učiteljima, pedagozima, odgajateljima, ali i svim drugim osobama koje su posredno ili neposredno uključene u radu s osobama kulturno drukčijeg podrijetla. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati najznačajnije modele interkulturalne kompetencije, kao i problem određenja pojma interkulturalne kompetencije i njezinih sastavnica, jer ovisno o njegovom određenju dobrim dijelom ovisi i tumačenje interkulturalnih modela i njihovih bitnih dimenzija.
A method is described for the calculation of the three-parameter Weibull distribution function from censored samples. The method introduces a data driven technique based on an adapted Gaussian like ...kernel to match the censoring scheme. The method minimizes the Cramer von Mises distance from a non-parametric density estimate and the parametric estimate at the order statistics. The maximum likelihood estimators are found and a comparison is made with the new estimator. A Monte Carlo experiment of size 1000 is conducted to test the performance of the new parameter estimation technique. The mean integrated square error is taken as a measure of the closeness of the estimated density and the true density.
Bu çalışmanın amacı Fama ve French üç faktör modeline momentum faktörünün eklenmesiyle oluşturulan dört faktör modelinin İMKB’de hisse senedi getirilerini açıklama gücünün test edilmesidir. Çalışma ...Temmuz 1992 – Haziran 2008 döneminde (192 ay) İMKB’ye kote olmuş bütün finansal olmayan firmaları kapsamaktadır. Dört faktör modeli uygulama sonuçları, modellerin R değerleri ve Gibbons, Ross ve Shanken’in (1989) F testine göre değerlendirildiğinde hisse senedi getirilerini açıklamakta oldukça başarılı gözükmektedir. Sonuç olarak çalışmada, İMKB için 192 aylık gözlem döneminde piyasa riskinin yanında firma büyüklüğü, D/P oranı ve momentum faktörlerinin beklenen hisse senedi getirilerini etkileyen anlamlı risk faktörleri olduğu ve bu dört faktöre ait risk primlerinin piyasa tarafından fiyatlandırıldığı tespit edilmiştir.
Kombinirani pristup ODV-a je ključni element integralnog upravljanja vodama, no njegova je primjena nedovoljno je operativna, pa je u Hrvatskoj donesen priručnik Metodologija kombiniranog pristupa. ...Smjernice zona miješanja i prognostičkih modela EU-a pridonose primjeni kombiniranog pristupa uz operativni i istraživački monitoring. Problem je primjene prikazan na primjerima prijamnika UPOV-a u slivu rijeke Save. Cilj rada je kritička analiza i doprinos praktičnoj provedbi kombiniranog pristupa.
In this study, time dependence of large-scale nuclear shell model calculations in a parallel cluster is investigated. Shell model calculations have been done for the light Sb isotopes by using serial ...and parallel versions of Drexel University Shell Model (DUSM) code and the time dependence of these calculations are obtained on the local Cyborg Parallel Cluster at Drexel University. Some analyses about what kind of parallel system we need to do the calculations have been done in order to do the nuclear shell model calculations for the other nuclei.

važno je raspolagati informacijama o stanju u kojem se gospodarstvo
u određenome trenutku nalazi. Na makroekonomskoj je razini, ...osim
identifi kacije faze gospodarskoga ciklusa, važno imati informaciju postoje li u gospodarstvu inflacijski pritisci, koji upućuju na mogućnost „pregrijavanja“ gospodarstva. NAIRU je jedan od pokazatelja kojim se nositelji ekonomske politike, osobito u području monetarne politike, mogu koristiti pri donošenju odluka upravo u segmentu identifi kacije infl acijskih pritisaka. Ovaj rad sadrži pregled novije literature koja se bavi pojmom NAIRU, kako na teoretskoj razini, tako i na empirijskoj. Poseban naglasak stavljen je
upravo na pregled različitih empirijskih metoda ocjene NAIRU, jer o njima ovisi i interpretacija rezultata.
In this study, the pressure drop of helical square duct which has 8x8 mm dimension, a pitch of b =12 mm was investigated both experimentally and numerically with the similar experimental boundary ...conditions. SIMPLE algorithm, PRESTO pressure-velocity interpolation option, RNG k-? turbulent model and Gauss Siedel iteration method were used in numerical computations which were done by FLUENT® programme. As a result it was understood that the maximum difference between numerical and experimental data is about 5 %. The experimental and numerical results were compared and validated with the results in the literature.
As a compound channel is characterized by a deep main channel flanked by relatively shallow floodplains, the interaction between the faster fluid velocity in the main channel and the slower moving ...flow on the floodplains causes shear stress at their interface, which significantly distorts flow and boundary shear stress patterns. The distortion implies that the flow field in rivers is non-homogeneously turbulent, and that lateral transport of fluid momentum and suspended sediment are influenced by the characteristics of flow in rivers. The nature of the mechanism of lateral transport needs to be understood for the design of engineering schemes that rely upon realistic flow. Furthermore, the flow in rivers is also almost turbulent. This means that the fluid motion is highly random, unsteady, and 3-dimensional. Thus, the flow cannot be properly predicted by using approximate analytical solutions to the governing equations of motion. With the complexity of the problem, the solution of turbulence is simplified with mathematical equations. The newly developed Large Eddy Simulation 2DH FLOWER_SD model was used to solve the turbulence problem. The successive over-relaxation method was employed to solve the numerical computation based on finite difference discretization. The model was applied to compound channels with smooth roughness. Some organized large eddies were observed in the boundary between the main channel and flood channel. At this boundary the transverse velocity profile exhibited a steep gradient, which induced significant mass and momentum exchange, acted as a source of vorticity, and generated high Reynolds stresses.
Lattice vibrations have great influences on physical and mechanical properties of materials. In this study, changes of acoustic phonon frequencies of Ni model system with temperature was investigated ...by Molecular Dynamic (MD) simulation for 100, 110 and 111 high symmetry directions of the Brillouin zone. To model the interactions between atoms, Sutton-Chen type of Embedded Atom Method (SCEAM) based on many-body interactions were used. The obtained results show that the increase of temperature causes a decrease in longitudinal and transverse acoustic phonon frequencies because of thermal expansion.
