In the article, the authors consider various aspects of the functioning of convergent media editorial offices. For this purpose, organizational and technological innovations were studied. They have ...become actively introduced into the practice of editorial activity in recent decades. The merger of several media channels into large media holdings led to the fact that on the basis of such editorial conglomerations, specialized Internet departments and services first began to emerge, and then independent multimedia editorial offices. In the course of the study, employees of convergent media were interviewed, who told not only about the principles of organizing the production process for the release of multimedia products, but also about the features of introducing new forms of management of the editorial team, about various planning methods, and finally, about the functional tasks of new media employees.
The exponential growth in technological advancements that benefit children diagnosed with autism has recently occurred. Prior to the growing number of applications to help them communicate, ...understand, and interact with others, a study on the user interface characteristics, specifically on colour, text, and images in designing mobile application interfaces for children with autism, was conducted to provide preliminary evidence. This study helps in the design and development phase of a mobile application for children with autism. A total of 38 proxy users took part in this study. They were given a questionnaire through an online 5-10 minute survey. The questionnaire comprises questions on the multimedia elements used in designing a mobile application for children with autism. This study aims to identify the user interface characteristics preference, specifically on colour, text, and images, in designing a mobile application interface for children with autism, based on the proxy user perspective. To supplement the body of literature in this area and improve the pedagogical method, the author expresses the related works on the user interface characteristics and usability issues. The enhancement to the instrument used is promising in terms of the mobile application's design and development for children with autism.
In the uncertainty environment of today's world due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the education sector also shifting the teaching and learning technique to cater all the student learning needs. The ...Ministry of Education (MOE), Malaysia recommends all schools under MOE to use Open Distance Learning (ODL) which is part of the e-learning method during this critical period of time. With the advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the integration of technology know-how, it will make every aspect of learning possible. This study goes some way to bridging the gap by exploring students' engagement and motivation towards Augmented Reality (AR). Findings showed encouraging learning outcomes as quantified by data analysis. This unique feature of Augmented Reality had led it to be implemented in education as it is able to convey abstract knowledge to a comprehensible context. Augmented Reality provides an exciting and fascinating learning environment as it increases the motivation and attractiveness of teaching and learning in real-life scenarios for students.
Nowadays, multimedia elements such as image, video, animation, audio, and software can be distributed in a short time anywhere in the world using internet technology. Content owners are concerned ...about copyright protection and authentication. Watermarking is one of the method to protect patient information in medical images such as magnetic resonance and ultrasound imaging. In the literature, there are several methods proposed using both frequency-domain (etc. digital cosine transforms (DCT), digital wavelet transforms (DWT), digital Fourier transforms (DFT), digital radon transform (DRT)) and spatial domain (least significant bits (LSB)) methods. Mostly digital wavelet transform based watermarking methods give very promising results after common attacks. In the DWT algorithm, scaling factor is used in embedding and extraction. A scaling factor is a number between 0 and 1 which has been determined by the user which is not efficient. We can use the brute force method which solves a problem by checking all the possible cases, but it is slow. In this work, we use simulated annealing heuristic search algorithm to find out the best scaling factor to reach more robust, transparent, high data capacity and resistant watermarking method in medical images. Experimental results show that simulated annealing-based scaling factor determination in frequency domain watermarking gives more robust, resistant, and transparent watermarked images.

2011 14th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning,
2011-Sept.
Conference Proceeding
This article highlights the practical experiences acquired in design, realization and implementation of interactive e-learning project located on the educational portal for students called "eLearn ...central". This portal is permanently being used in the distance and blended learning at our University, in the popularization of Science and Technology between kids and young people and for team work in everyday business life. The authors are focusing on the principles of quality e-learning courses development according to newest standards. They're utilizing decades of practical experiences with the creation of courses for eLearn central portal in Moodle educational environment. The authors present several available ways from simplest use of basic tools, which is Moodle providing, to SCORM standard to utilization of templates.
Research in digital teaching and learning (T&L) focusing on multimedia elements based on art content is essential in enhancing the quality of the curriculum delivery. Inaddition, research on art ...content in digital T&L for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is limited. Thus, this paperexploresthe elementsof multimedia components in T&L for TVET based on art content. Art content refers to the subjectmatter or the message conveyed by the presentation.Theresearch utilizesthe Fuzzy Delphi Method(FDM) as methodology. In the first phase, fiveexpertsspecializing in multimedia and artwereinterviewed. After finalizingthe interview results, a matrix analysisthat combines the literatures finding was developedin order to determine the multimedia elements based on the art content. In the second phase, nine experts, including five from the first phase, validated the elements using the instrument.By using the Fuzzy Delphi Method, average values of m1, m2, and m3, 'd' orThreshold value, expert’sconsensus and Fuzzy Evaluation were derived from the data. Findingsindicates thatforty items out of four componentswhich are emotional, subjective, execution, and psychologicalhave been validated by the experts and reach 75 per cent of consensus. In conclusion, multimedia components based on art content in digital T&L for TVET should be utilized as a reference in developing digital content to provide future T&L standards for educators.
