In this article, the three authors, each of whom has been collaborating in various ways with practitioners for over 40 years, engage in a metalogue to explore their experiences of engaging in ...collaborative research. A metalogue is a reflective conversation whereby the mode of conversation mirrors the topic being discussed. In this illustration of a metalogue, the authors explore how they have developed as collaborative scholars. Both in the respective stories and in the metalogue the themes of being in a space of not-knowing, relevance and relationships emerged. The article offers an account of how the authors grew into their respective collaborative scholarship approaches, the key themes that emerged and of the metalogue process as a method for shared reflection on the practice of scholarship.
The reflection on university management is based on the question about the shape of universities of the future. Civic, responsible, sustainable, virtual, digital, and many other universities can be ...mentioned among the concepts present in the literature. All these names describe an important distinctive feature of a university, which will gain more and more importance in the future. However, given the fundamental importance of the radical change taking place, it seems that the most appropriate name, reflecting the essence of the emerging new formation, is "digital university." This is because of the importance of digital transformation, which has been developing for several decades, bringing deep and multidirectional changes in the areas of technology, economy, society, and culture. It is a disruptive civilizational transition and, although stretched over many decades, it is revolutionary in nature, significantly changing our lives in the Anthropocene. The book has three cognitive and pragmatic objectives: to provide a new perspective on the changing academic organization and management; to reflect on higher education management concepts and methods; and to present an overview of university management, governance, and leadership, useful from the perspective of academic managers, and other stakeholders. The Open Access version of this book, available at www.taylorfrancis. com, has been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 license.
The positive effects of cultural intelligence (CQ) and perceived inclusion in culturally diverse contexts are well-documented, but the relationship between these constructs has not been explored ...despite them sharing common themes. We examine the relationships between individual-level CQ, perceived inclusion, and perceived cultural diversity in a sample of 925 individuals working in culturally diverse groups. Our results showed that individuals' CQ predicts their perceived inclusion in workgroups. Moreover, individuals' perceived inclusion in workgroups is related to further CQ development in these individuals, and this relationship is stronger when individuals perceive greater cultural diversity in their workgroups. These findings extend research on factors contributing to individual differences in CQ and perceived inclusion in workgroups. We discuss implications for enhancing perceived inclusion and CQ in culturally diverse workgroups.
•Culturally intelligent individuals are likely to perceive inclusion in workgroups.•Perceived inclusion in workgroups is associated with increases in individuals' cultural intelligence (CQ) over time.•Cultural diversity in workgroups strengthens the effect of perceived inclusion on CQ.

In 2016, the volume of sold products of the food industry amounted to 381.4 billion UAH (21.6% of the total volume in the industry), of which 91.4 billion UAH (19.6% of the volume of industrial products sold outside the country). The food industry of Ukraine has great potential and is competitive. In the context of the strategy development, measures to stimulate the economic activity of food industry enterprises are also proposed. Practical implications. Manufacturers are expanding the geography of external supplies and are looking for access to foreign markets, and the export potential makes it attractive to investors. Under such conditions, the Ukrainian food industry should change its priorities and modernize production. There is a clear lack of funding for the industry, which could be provided by both foreign and domestic investors. Capital investments should go to the food industry, which produces competitive products. And the reduction of investments in the food industry in the long run will increase the technological lag of Ukraine from the developed countries of the world. Value/originality. During the year, work was carried out to attract food and processing enterprises of all forms of ownership to participate in seminars on the development, implementation and certification of management systems, namely: quality, food safety, environmental management, occupational safety.
We investigated an organizational field where competing institutional logics existed for a lengthy period of time. We identified four mechanisms for managing the rivalry of competing logics that ...facilitated and strengthened the separate identities of key actors, thus providing a way for competing logics to co-exist and separately guide the behaviour of different actors. We contribute to the institutional literature by showing that competing logics can co-exist and rivalry between logics can be managed through the development of collaborative relationships.
