The mechanical properties of rock can be weakened under the influence of high temperatures. To describe the mechanical behavior of rock under the action of high temperature more accurately, based on ...the Zienkiewicz–Pande yield criterion, the damage variable Dc which accounts for the coupling between high temperature and load is introduced. According to plastic potential theory and plastic flow law, the iterative incremental method for a high-temperature and load-coupled damage constitutive model in Flac3D is deduced in detail and compiled into the corresponding dynamic link library file (.dll file). By modifying the shape function to degenerate into the Mohr–Coulomb constitutive model, an elastic–plastic analysis of an ideal circular tunnel is performed, and a comparison is made between calculation results obtained from the built-in Mohr–Coulomb constitutive model in Flac3D, proving the correctness of the secondary development program. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to study the effects of high-temperature damage using rock uniaxial compression tests, and the model’s validity is established by comparing it with previous experimental results.
Resumo O presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a relação entre a questão ambiental, crise estrutural do capital e a pandemia do novo Coronavírus. Compreendemos neste trabalho que a ...pandemia do novo Coronavírus que gera a doença nomeada de Covid-19 está organicamente relacionada com a crise do capital, como fruto do processo de acumulação capitalista avidamente crescente que necessita da exploração inesgotável dos recursos humanos e naturais, tornando-os mercadorias. Essa dupla exploração em ritmo galopante, inerente à ordem sociometabólica do capital, constituem elementos fundamentais para o atual cenário de crise mundial. Para tal reflexão, caminhamos sob a perspectiva do método dialético-crítico de Marx, utilizando-se como metodologia a pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico e documental. Dividimos o trabalho em duas seções centrais: a primeira discute a questão ambiental e a ordem sociometabólica do capital, relação de acumulação e destrutividade; a segunda realiza a relação entre os três eixos de discussão: a crise do capital, a pandemia e a questão ambiental.
Abstract This article aims to reflect on the relationship between the environmental issue, structural crisis of capitalism and the new Coronavirus pandemic. We understand in this work that the pandemic of the new Coronavirus that generates the disease named Covid-19 is organically related to the crisis of capitalism, as a result of the accumulation process greedily growing capitalist that needs the inexhaustible exploitation of human resources and natural, making them commodities. This double exploration at a galloping pace, inherent to sociometabolic order of the capital, constitute fundamental elements for the current scenario of world crisis. For such reflection, we walk under the perspective of the dialectical-critical method of Marx, using bibliographic and documentary research as a methodology. We divided the work into two central sections: the first discusses the environmental issue and the order sociometabolic of capitalism, relation of accumulation and destructiveness; the second analyzes the relationship between the three perspectives of the discussion: the crisis of capitalism, the pandemic and the environmental issue.
Masyarakat Hindu di Bali dibedakan ke dalam kelompok-kelompok berdasarkan garis keturunan laki-laki yang disebut klan atau di Bali lebih dikenal dengan istilah soroh. Salah satu soroh yang dikenal di ...Bali adalah soroh Pande. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi genetik masyarakat soroh Pande di Desa Abiansemal, Badung menggunakan empat lokus mikrosatelit kromosom Y, yaitu DYS19, DYS390, DYS393 dan DYS395. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, didapatkan 11 ragam alel dan enam haplotipe yang didominasi oleh haplotipe A (200, 215, 121, 123) dengan frekuensi sebesar 0,65 serta keragaman genetik sebesar 0,32 ± 0,07. Ragam haplotipe yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat soroh Pande di Desa Abiansemal berasal dari berbagai sumber gen.
Perkembangan ilmu forensik berkaitan erat dengan penggunaan analisa DNA mikrosatelit sebagai salah satu sarana yang paling akurat untuk mengungkap identitas seseorang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan ...untuk mengetahuiragam alel yang tersebar pada masyarakat soroh Pande di Kabupaten Gianyar dengan menggunakan tiga lokus DNA mikrosatelit autosom yaitu D2S1338, D13S317 dan D16S539. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ditemukan 23 ragam alel dengan rata-rata 7,3 per lokus. Rata-rata nilai heterozigositas dari tiga lokus yang digunakan adalah 0,817 ± 0,029 menunjukkan bahwa secara genetik masyarakat soroh Pande sangat bervariasi. Rata-rata nilai Power of Discrimination adalah 0,893. Tingginya nilai Power of Discrimination menunjukkan bahwa ketiga lokus ini baik digunakan untuk membedakan antar individu pada kepentingan forensik.
En contextos de pandemia y la sociedad del conocimiento, se hace evidente y exigente la educación virtual relacionada al uso de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC). La investigación busca ...describir entonces el problema social tanto de docentes como de estudiantes en tiempos turbulentos que restringen la educación virtual en las universidades peruanas que a la vez presentan múltiples problemas sociales. Empleándose el método hipotético-deductivo se utilizaron encuestas on line de 2 universidades de gestión estatal y 2 universidades de gestión privada ubicadas en la ciudad de Lima, asimismo, se analizó 4 universidades de gestión estatal y 4 universidades de gestión privada ubicadas en provincias, con un universo poblacional de 260 estudiantes. Se concluye que la educación virtual en las universidades peruanas está sujeta a fracasar debido a la falta de ciertas habilidades de los que imparten conocimiento y a la falta de acceso a internet por los estudiantes provenientes de los espacios periféricos que representan a la mayoría excluida de un país con serias deficiencias económicas, sociales y políticas.

Santonian to Oligocene sediments crop out along a broad coastal belt south of the Rufiji River from the Kilwa peninsula to Lindi Creek in southern Tanzania. During ∼55
Ma, over 1
km of a broadly homogeneous, mid to outer shelf clay-dominated succession was deposited across the passive margin, which we define here as the Kilwa Group. This lies disconformably across the shelf on Albian marls and is itself unconformably overlain by shallow water Miocene clays and more recent limestones, sands and gravels. Four formations can be identified within the Kilwa Group on the basis of characteristic secondary lithologies and facies, described here for the first time; the Nangurukuru, Kivinje, Masoko and Pande Formations. These formations include conformable stratigraphic intervals through both the Paleocene–Eocene and Eocene–Oligocene boundaries. Within the Kilwa Group, 12 sequence stratigraphic cycles can be identified at present, demonstrating relatively uniform and continual subsidence across the margin from Santonian to Early Oligocene time. A further major bounding surface is present between the Upper Cretaceous and Paleogene, but this may become partly conformable in the Lindi area. Although the principal lithology in all formations is clay or claystone, there are more permeable intervals containing pervasive coarser siliciclastic sediments and these have yielded traces of crude oil which is likely to have migrated from lower in the succession. The Kilwa Group thus also provides important new evidence for petroleum play development in the southern coastal zone.
Daya Krishna was the public face of Indian philosophy in the first half-century after Indian independence. Nobody on the Indian scene in that period came close to him in influence or in contribution ...to the profession. Nobody else in the world thought as hard or as fruitfully about the relation of Indian philosophy to that of the rest of the world, and nobody else dared to think as creatively and even as heretically about the history of Indian philosophy itself. This special issue of Philosophy East and West commemorates G. C. Pande and Daya Krishna as philosophers. But we would be remiss if we were not to acknowledge that Pande was also an elegant poet, both in Hindi and in Sanskrit. In this article, the authors have continue the dialogue that Krishna and G. C. Pande initiated between the argumentative and the spiritual, the skeptical-individualistic and the traditional-communitarian styles of thinking, self-critical and culture-sensitive on all the practical and theoretical problems that haunt human rationalities and relationships.
G. C. Pande's idea of culture in many respects represents a radical departure from current thinking on the subject. This departure has its roots in the way Pande traces the origin and the process of ...development of culture. According to Pande the original inspiration and catalyst of the genesis of culture are transcendental in nature, although culture is born in the human world and it develops through human agency. The process is set into motion by the envisioning of the transcendent by a prophet/teacher. The transcendental vision, occult in its essence, contains the seeds of a philosophy of life and a system of values. The sharing of the vision by the prophet/teacher in the form of teachings with a band of followers engenders the formation of a culture group and then the nucleus of a society. Pande thus reverses the accepted notions of the relationship between the growth of culture and society. According to him it is not a society that gives rise to a distinctive culture; rather it is a culture — which, in other words is a system of values and a philosophy of life — that gives rise to a corresponding society. Later on from the same process civilizations and states develop. This essay examines the interesting implications of these formulations.
