Currently, the range of research related to the specifics of child-parent relations is constantly expanding and deepening, which, of course, is associated with an increasing understanding in society ...of the most important importance of the family as a social institution. Therefore, the study of the relationship between satisfaction with marriage and child-parent relations in families with older preschoolers remains an urgent topic for psychological and pedagogical research.
The article presents the results of studying mothers of preschoolers to different aspects of family life using the PARI method (E.S. Schaefer and R.K. Bell). Full and incomplete families were examined. The authors identified the features and differences in the structure of child-parent relations in full and incomplete families. Also, there are differences in the structure of child-parent relations in families with preschoolers 3-5 years old and in families with preschoolers 6-7 years old. The data obtained make it possible to develop a system of trainings and programs for working with parents who have insufficiently optimal child-parent contact and to track changes in child-parent relations after psychological and pedagogical influence (trainings, seminars, master classes, personal consultations).
Sedimentary basins in the interior of orogenic plateaus can provide unique insights into the early history of plateau evolution and related geodynamic processes. The northern sectors of the Iranian ...Plateau of the Arabia–Eurasia collision zone offer the unique possibility to study middle–late Miocene terrestrial clastic and volcaniclastic sediments that allow assessing the nascent stages of collisional plateau formation. In particular, these sedimentary archives allow investigating several debated and poorly understood issues associated with the long‐term evolution of the Iranian Plateau, including the regional spatio‐temporal characteristics of sedimentation and deformation and the mechanisms of plateau growth. We document that middle–late Miocene crustal shortening and thickening processes led to the growth of a basement‐cored range (Takab Range Complex) in the interior of the plateau. This triggered the development of a foreland‐basin (Great Pari Basin) to the east between 16.5 and 10.7 Ma. By 10.7 Ma, a fast progradation of conglomerates over the foreland strata occurred, most likely during a decrease in flexural subsidence triggered by rock uplift along an intraforeland basement‐cored range (Mahneshan Range Complex). This was in turn followed by the final incorporation of the foreland deposits into the orogenic system and ensuing compartmentalization of the formerly contiguous foreland into several intermontane basins. Overall, our data suggest that shortening and thickening processes led to the outward and vertical growth of the northern sectors of the Iranian Plateau starting from the middle Miocene. This implies that mantle‐flow processes may have had a limited contribution toward building the Iranian Plateau in NW Iran.
Neighbourhoods of precise probabilities are instrumental to perform robustness analysis, as they rely on very few parameters. Many such models, sometimes referred to as distortion models, have been ...proposed in the literature, such as the pari mutuel model, the linear vacuous mixtures or the constant odds ratio model. This paper is the first part of a two paper series where we study the sets of probabilities induced by such models, regarding them as neighbourhoods defined over specific metrics or premetrics. We also compare them in terms of a number of properties: precision, number of extreme points, n-monotonicity, behaviour under conditioning, etc. This first part tackles this study on some of the most popular distortion models in the literature, while the second part studies less known neighbourhood models and summarises our findings.
Background
PARP1-binding protein (PARPBP/PARI/C12orf48), a negative regulator of homologous recombination (HR), has been suggested to function as an oncogene in cervical, lung, and pancreatic cancer.
...Objective
To investigate the expression profile of PARPBP and its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods
Using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas and Human Protein Atlas databases, PARPBP expression level and its clinical implication in HCC were identified by
t
test and Chi-square test. The prognostic value of PARPBP in HCC was evaluated by Kaplan–Meier method, Cox regression analysis, and nomogram. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was used to screen biological pathways correlated with PARPBP expression in HCC.
Results
PARPBP was significantly upregulated in HCC tissues compared with normal liver tissues (
P
< 0.05). High PARPBP expression was significantly associated with elevated serum AFP level, vascular invasion, poor tumor differentiation, and advanced TNM stage (all
P
< 0.05). Kaplan–Meier analyses suggested that upregulation of PARPBP was correlated with worse overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) in HCC. Multivariate analyses further confirmed that PARPBP upregulation was an independent indicator of poor OS and RFS (all
P
< 0.05). The prognostic nomograms based on PARPBP mRNA expression and TNM stage were superior to those based on the TNM staging system alone (all
P
< 0.05). Besides, PARPBP DNA copy gain and miR-139-5p downregulation were associated with PARPBP upregulation in HCC. GSEA revealed that “cell cycle,” “HR,” “DNA replication,” and “p53 signaling” pathways were enriched in high PARPBP expression group.
Conclusion
PARPBP may be a promising prognostic biomarker and candidate therapeutic target in HCC.
Let K=Q(N) be the Nth layer in the cyclotomic Zˆ-extension. Many authors (Aoki, Fukuda, Horie, Ichimura, Inatomi, Komatsu, Miller, Morisawa, Nakajima, Okazaki, Washington,…) prove results on the ...p-class groups CK. We enlarge “Weber's problem” to the Tate–Shafarevich groups IIIK1≃CKSpp and IIIK2 having same p-rank as the more easily computable torsion group, TK, of the Galois group of the maximal abelian p-ramified pro-p-extension of K; but TK is often non-trivial, which raises questions for class groups since ▪, where RK is the normalized p-adic regulator. We give a new method testing TK≠1 (Theorem 4.6, Table in Appendix A.7) and characterize the fields K1=KQ(p) with CK1≠1 (Main Theorem 1.1 affirming, for short, that CK1≠1 if and only if p totally splits in K and TK≠1); this highlights the analytical results and justifies the eight known examples. All PARI/GP programs are given for further investigations.

Abstract
Bivalves may play an ecological role as ecosystem engineers by changing sediment physical structure. As a filter/suspension feeder, they can produce biodeposits, and their burrowing ...activities can stir sediment. In this study, we investigated whether the abundance of Venus clam (
Gafrarium tumidum
Röding, 1798) influences sediment accretion in the sandy intertidal area of Pari Island, Indonesia. We created 18 plots consisting of nine defaunated and nine non-defaunated treatment plots. On each plot, 111-559 clams were deployed, and four pieces of one-inch PVC were planted randomly to see sediment elevation. Sediment accretion was measured by sediment elevation. Observations were carried out for seven months. At the end of the observations, clam abundances were 0-64 ind/m
2
in the defaunated plots and 0-47 ind/m
2
in the non-defaunated plots. The average sediment accretion in the defaunated plots was 0.98-3.3 cm, while in the non-defaunated plots was 1.95-4.43 cm. This study showed that the clam had no significant effect (p-value > 0.05) on sediment accretion in both plots as its abundance was insufficient to alter sediment. The sediment accretion occurred not caused by clam but by others such as sipuncula and physical oceanography factors in the research location.
