Guilds and conferences have grown up around historical theology,
yet no volume has ever been dedicated to the definition and
illustration of the method undergirding historical theology. This
volume ...both defines and illustrates the methodology of historical
theology, especially as it relates to the study of early
Christianity, and situates historical theology among other
methodological approaches to early Christianity, including
confessional apologetics, constructive theology, and socio-cultural
history. Historical theology as a discipline stands in contrast to
these other approaches to the study of early Christianity. In
contrast to systematic or constructive approaches, it remains
essentially historical , with a desire to elucidate the
past rather than speak to the present. In contrast to
socio-historical approaches, it remains essentially
theological , with a concern to value and understand the
full complexity of the abstract thought world that stands behind
the textual tradition of early Christian theology. Moreover,
historical theology is characterized by the methodological
presupposition that, unless good reason exists to think otherwise,
the theological accounts of the ancient church articulate the
genuine beliefs of their authors. The significance of this volume
lies in the methodological definition it offers. The strength of
this volume lies in the fact that its definition of the historical
method of studying theology is not the work of a single mind but
that of over twenty respected scholars, many of whom are leaders in
the field. The volume begins with an introductory essay that
orients readers to various approaches to early Christian
literature, it moves to two technical essays that define the
historical method of studying early Christian theology, and then it
illustrates the practice of this method with more than twenty
essays that cover a period stretching from the first century to the
dawn of the seventh.

The purpose of this study was to identify patterns and relationships between the mockup and graphic methods of architectural composition development. Using as an example experimental exercises in the ...creation and interpretation of architectural composition artistic images through planar and spatial constructions, the article emphasizes the importance of taking an integrated approach to the application of means and techniques of artistic expression in design problem solving. Such an integrated approach and interconnectedness of architectural image ideation is highly relevant in the current context.

methodology has received little attention. World Christianity:
Methodological Considerations addresses this lacuna and

turn. In twelve chapters scholars from various academic backgrounds
(anthropology, religious studies, history, missiology,
intercultural studies, theology, and patristics) as well as of
multiple cultural and national belongings investigate

"Christian philosophy" is commonly regarded as an oxymoron, philosophy being thought incompatible with the assumptions and conclusions required by religious faith. According to this way of thinking, ...philosophy and theology must forever remain distinct.
InFrom Theology to Theological Thinking,Jean-Yves Lacoste takes a different approach. Stepping back from contemporary philosophical concerns, Lacoste-a leading figure in the philosophy of religion-looks at the relationship between philosophy and theology from the standpoint of the history of ideas. He notes in particular that theology and philosophy were not considered separate realms until the high Middle Ages, this distinction being a hallmark of the modern era that is coming to an end. Lacoste argues that the intellectual task before us now is to work in the frontier region between or beyond these domains, work he identifies as "the task of thinking."
With this argument, Lacoste resets our understanding of Western Christian thought, contending that a new way of thinking that is at once philosophical and theological will be the lasting discourse of Christianity.
Artefacts play a vital role in software and systems development processes. Other terms like documents, deliverables, or work products are widely used in software development communities instead of ...the term artefact. In the following, we use the term ‘artefact’ including all these other terms. Despite its relevance, the exact denotation of the term ‘artefact’ is still not clear due to a variety of different understandings of the term and to a careless negligent usage. This often leads to approaches being grounded in a fuzzy, unclear understanding of the essential concepts involved. In fact, there does not exist a common terminology. Therefore, it is our goal that the term artefact be standardised so that researchers and practitioners have a common understanding for discussions and contributions. In this position paper, we provide a positioning and critical reflection upon the notion of artefacts in software engineering at different levels of perception and how these relate to each other. We further contribute a metamodel that provides a description of an artefact that is independent from any underlying process model. This metamodel defines artefacts at three levels. Abstraction and refinement relations between these levels allow correlating artefacts to each other and defining the notion of related, refined, and equivalent artefacts. Our contribution shall foster the long overdue and too often underestimated terminological discussion on what artefacts are to provide a common ground with clearer concepts and principles for future software engineering contributions, such as the design of artefact-oriented development processes and tools.
