Skupno delo dveh nemških visokošolskih didaktikov angleščine Böttgerja in Sambanisove z naslovom Sprachen lernen in der Pubertät (Učenje tujih jezikov v obdobju odraščanja) prinaša pomembno novost in ...odstira nova spoznanja na področju didaktike tujih jezikov. Avtorja obravnavata doslej še dokaj prezrto temo vpliva pubertete na učenje tujih jezikov in povezujeta izsledke raziskav s področja tujejezikovne didaktike in nevroznanosti.
U cilju odgovora prvi dio članka predstavlja fenomenologiju transrodnosti, rodno afirmativnu terapiju i njezine kritike, dok drugi dio članka analizira moralnost rodno afirmativne terapije, odnosno bioetičku opravdanost promjene spola.
Although medical care for transgender people existed already at the beginning of the 20th century, serious study of this phenomenon began only in the second half of that century. This study contributed to reducing the stigmatization of transgender people, but also to a genuine effort to provide them with appropriate medical care and ease the unspeakable suffering they go through due to the fact that their biological sex does not agree with their gender identity. However, despite the new findings, little is still known about this topic, since it is a very complex reality. Due to the small amount of relevant scientific information and data, the process of diagnosing as well as the process of definitive treatment (the so-called affirmative approach) of transgender persons is difficult. This is especially true for the medical care of transgender children, whose transition may begin with the suppression of puberty. However, there are numerous criticisms of this care. Besides all the uncertainties about the aetiology of the condition, there is a huge lack of empirical data on which to base correct treatment, such as justifying the blocking of the natural process of puberty and the use of sex hormones in order to achieve the phenotype of the desired sex. The aim of the article is to investigate the aforestated criticisms, as well as to investigate whether gender reassignment can be bioethically and morally justified. In order to answer, the first part of the article presents the phenomenology of transgenderism, gender-affirmative therapy and its criticisms, while the second part of the article analyses the morality of gender-affirmative therapy, that is, the bioethical justification of gender change.

Helmet mask made of light wood, blackened.
Round base, cylindrical shape. The mask has a flat, very smooth upper from which two inward-angled horns rise. The ...hair set consists of horizontal narrower and wider bands of triangles resp. Romber. At the forehead, the bottom row rises in a triangle tip. High, slightly arched forehead, the face has clear triangular shape with large eyes, which at the bottom takes the form of a breakthrough notch. The ears high placed. For the sculpture type characteristic vaults on the neck. For these vaults there are several interpretations in the literature. On the back, these are widened in a swelling shape reminiscent of two superimposed eyes. Heavy crack on the back.
The mask is probably made for the market. The execution is quite simple, there is a lack of brace holes for a dance mask, the hem on the inside of the mask is rough and thus uncomfortable to wear. No traces of use.
It is a mask for the spirit community about which there is a comprehensive literature. This occurs in many communities, including mende, gola, vai, dei, kpelle, temne, bassa, kono, limba, sherbro. Stilistically, the mask belongs urgently in Liberia (see Mato and Miller’s book). That it is blackened on the inside strengthens this assumption. The masks from Sierra Leone tend to have light inside. The cylindrical shape rather than a conical/top shape is likewise not typical of Sierra Leone (cf. however, the illustration on p 58-59 in Mato & Miller, 1990). A mask in Linden Museum, Stuttgart, reproduced at p 165 in Phillips' 1995 book, from Gola, Liberia, has a cylindrical shape and has a hairset and neck coincident with the surface of the mask in a way similar to this mask. The shape of the ear is also similar. Another style feature that is consistent is that the neck rings are mainly visible on the back. The shape of the mouth and eyes for the thoughts more towards Vai, also in Liberia. The cross crown on the mask seems unusual. The two horns on the head are also unusual (cf. Nilsson 2000: 13). However, horns occur; see discussion on p 125f. In Ruth Phillips' 1995 book but they are reproduced in different ways than in this mask. Illustr. 6.5, p 118, admittedly has two horns on the crown, but these are not directly reminiscent of the horns on this mask.
Like other masks, this one has been submitted by the estate after Birgit Åkesson to the Stockholm city auction for sale. A label from the auctioneer indicates the spirit company and mende as provenance for the mask (cf. But above) and an exclamation price of 800 kroner on 19 June 2001.

Hjälmmask utförd i lätt träslag, svärtad.
Rund bas, cylindrisk form.
