Myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma (MIFS) is a recently described, rare low-grade sarcoma. Generally located in the upper and lower extremities, MIFS clinically mimics a benign cystic mass and is ...composed of spindle-like or atypical cells and mixed inflammatory infiltrates located in the fibroblastic myxoid stroma. Radiologic images and macroscopic appearance generally resemble a lobulated mass with irregular margins. We present a case of a tumoral mass with neoplastic cells at the center and a smooth surface with a previously undefined appearance. Myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma is significantly difficult to distinguish clinically from benign lesions and the surgeon should consider the possibility of malignancy in lesions located at the extremities.
Miksoinflamatuar fibroblastik sarkom (MİFS), son zamanlarda tanımlanmış olan ve seyrek görülen, düşük dereceli bir sarkomdur. Genellikle alt veya üst ekstremitelerde yerleşen MİFS, klinikte iyi huylu kistik kitle bulgusu verirken fibroblastik miksoid stroma içerisinde iğsi ya da atipik görünümlü hücreler ile mikst türde inflamatuar infiltrattan oluşur. Radyolojik ve makroskobik görüntüsü genellikle düzensiz sınırlı lobüle kitle şeklindedir. Çalışmamızda, daha önceden tanımlanan özelliklerden farklı şekilde düzgün sınırlı ve sadece orta bölümde neoplastik hücreler saptanan tümöral bir kitle sunulmaktadır. Klinik olarak iyi huylu kitlelerden ayrılması oldukça zor olan MİFS olgularında, ekstremite yerleşimli lezyonlarda habaset olasılığı her zaman akılda bulundurulmalıdır.

Granulocytic sarcoma is an extramedullary tumor, frequently associated with acute myeloid leukemia or myeloproliferative neoplasm. This tumor occasionally occurs in any anatomical part of the body without a known hematolymphoid disorder. Gynecologic tract is one of the rare localization of this tumor. Isolated cervical granulocytic sarcoma is extremely rare. In this case report, we present clinical and pathological findings of a 37 years old women with isolated cervical granulocytic sarcoma without any hematolymphoid disorder evidence.
Amaç: Retroperitoneal yumuşak doku sarkomlarında kliniğimizdeki vakaların epidemiyolojik, histopatolojik özellikleri, uygulanan tedaviler ve klinik seyirleri literatür ile karşılaştırıldı. Gereç ve ...Yöntem: Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Cerrahi Onkoloji Kliniğinde 2008-2013 yılları arasında görüntülemelerde primer retroperitoneal-intraperitoneal kitle saptanıp operasyona alınan ve histopatolojik incelemesi yumuşak doku tümörü olarak raporlanan 7 hastanın kayıtları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Bulgular: Hastaların 6'sı erkek 1 kadındı. Tüm hastalara abdominal tomografi uygulandı ve görüntülemede 4 hastada (%57,1) hem intraperitoneal hem retroperitonel 2 hasta (%28,6) sol retroperitonealde ve 1 hastada (%14,3) intraperitoneal kitle mevcuttu. Tanı anında hiçbir hastada uzak organ metastazı saptanmadı. Hastaların 2'sine kitle eksizyonu, 3'üne kitle ile birlikte en-blok organ rezeksiyonu (kolon ve böbrek) yapılırken 2 hasta rezektable değildi. Patolojik incelemede %42,9 (3 hasta) iyi differansiye liposarkom, %28,6 (2 hasta) leiomyosarkom, %14,3 (1 hasta) rabdomyosarkom ve indiferansiye liposarkom saptandı. Kitle eksizyonu uygulanan 2 hastada ortalama 11.ayında (10.ay ve 12.ay) nüks gelişti. Kitle ile en blok organ rezeksiyonu yapılan bir hastada ise 6.ayında akciğer metastazı gelişti. Sonuç: Retroperitoneal yumuşak doku sarkomları nadir izlenmektedir. Ancak genellikle yetersiz cerrahiye bağlı olarak nüks sıklıkla gelişmektedir. However, recurrence often develops generally due to incomplete surgery. Therefore, aggressive surgery is recommended in these tumors in order to provide negative surgery border

We would like to emphasize the importance of the biopsy without contaminating the joint space which will reduce the morbidity during the curative surgery.
Çocukluk çağı tümörlerinden Ewing sarkomu sık görülen, habis bir kemik patolojisidir. Diyafizer ve metafizer kemiklerde lokalize olan tümörün epifizde yerleşimi alışılmış değildir. Bu yazıda, iskelet olgunlaşmasını tamamlamamış bir hastada epifizde sınırlanmış Ewing sarkomu olgusunu sunuyoruz. Eklemi kontamine etmeden gerçekleştirilecek biyopsinin küratif cerrahi sırasında morbiditeyi azaltmadaki etkisine dikkat çekmek isteriz.

Burada biz inferior vena kavaya yayılan vasküler tumor trombüslü 18 yaşındaki BCHS\'lu nadir vakada kardiyopulmoner bypass altında ve kardiyak arrest yapılmaksızın renal kitlenin, vasküler tümör trombüsünün ve pulmoner metastazın başarılı olarak çıkarılmasını tanımladık.
Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK) is a rare renal neoplasm of childhood. While CCSK is more common in children, it is extremely rare in adults. In CCSK, a tumor thrombus is sometimes formed in the inferior vena cava. Herein, we describe a rare case of an 18-year-old female with CCSK with vascular tumor thrombus extending to the inferior vena cava that was managed successfully by excision of the renal mass and vena caval thrombus, and pulmonary metastasectomy using cardiopulmonary bypass without cardiac arrest.
Synovial sarcoma represents the third soft tissue tumor of the pediatric age group. Most of these cases are located in the extremities. Synovial sarcoma is very rarely located in thoracic wall, in ...abdominal and retroperitoneal regions. Only two cases of childhood synovial sarcoma of the esophagus has been reported. An 8 year-old girl with a three-months history of progressive dysphagia and dyspnea is represented in this study. A polypoid mass was observed by indirect laryngoscopy filling the larynx and hypopharynx. She underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and incomplete resection. She is alive without disease in 60 months follow-up.
Sinovyal sarkom çocukluk yaş grubunda üçüncü sıklıkta görülen yumuşak doku tümörüdür. Olguların büyük bir kısmı ekstremite yerleşimlidir. Sinovyal sarkom son derece nadir olarak göğüs duvarı, abdomen ve retroperitoneal bölgede de izlenmektedir. Literatürde saptayabildiğimiz çocukluk yaş grubunda özofagus yerleşimli sinovyal sarkom olgusu iki tanedir. Üç aydır progresif disfaji ve solunum sıkıntısı ile başvuran 8 yaşındaki kız çocukta indirekt laringoskopi ile saptanan larenks ve hypofarenksi dolduran, polipoid yapıda sinovial sarkom olgusu nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunulmuştur. Olguya kemoterapi, radyoterapi ve lokal rezeksiyon uygulanmıştır. Çocuk 60 aylık takipte hastalıksız yaşamaktadır.
Soft-tissue sarcomas account for approximately 1% of adult malignancies and they occur in up to 50% of cases in the extremities, followed by visceral/retroperitoneal regions. Different histological ...subtypes exist and primary therapy is predicated on surgical resection with an adequate margin of normal tissue. İn most of the extremity tumors, limb-sparing surgery is possible. Local recurrence rates vary depending on the anatomic site and for high-risk patients, identified by tumor grade, size and site, local control is clearly improved with postoperative adjuvant radiation. In this review, the role of radiotherapy in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas are analyzed regarding the recent literature.
Yumuşak doku sarkomları, yetişkin malignitelerinin %1'ini oluşturmaktadır ve yaklaşık %50'si ekstremite yerleşimli olup, takiben viseral ve retroperitoneal bölgelerde yerleşmektedirler. Çeşitli histolojik alt tipleri vardır ve primer tedavi; uygun cerrahi sınırlar oluşturacak şekilde uygulanan cerrahi rezeksiyondur. Ekstremite yerleşimli tümörlerin çoğunda organ koruyucu cerrahi yaklaşımlar mümkün olmaktadır. Lokal nüks oranları anatomik lokalizasyonlara göre değişkenlik göstermekte ve tümör gradı, boyut ve anatomik lokalizasyon açısından yüksek riskli hastalarda lokal kontrol oranları, ameliyat sonrası adjuvan radyoterapi ile belirgin şekilde artış göstermektedir. Bu yazıda literatürdeki son gelişmelerin ışığı altında, yumuşak doku sarkomlarda radyoterapinin rolü incelendi.
