The method used in this research was descriptive ...qualitative. The data analysis technique used SWOT analysis. The results of data analysis show that the results of IFAS and EFAS were used to determine the position of the quadrant. Strengths and weaknesses produce the X-axis, namely X = 1.93 – 1.71 = 0.21, and the Y-axis represents opportunities – threats, namely Y = 1.04 – 2.12 = -1.08 to produce quadrant II or strategy diversification. The strategy applied in this condition is the Strength-Threat, namely: 1) formulating a clear vision and mission to make the Pantai Panjang Tourism Location a friendly sports tourism location for physical disabilities, 2) equipping accessible facilities and infrastructure for physical disabilities at the Semarak Stadium and Youth Sports Center and increase promotion to the public about the achievements of athletes with physical disabilities, 3) involving the Youth and Sports Office, the Indonesian National Sports Committee, academics, private parties and sports clubs in fostering sports achievements, 4) involving the private sector for the development of facilities and infrastructure for physical disabilities, 5) involving the private sector to develop sports clubs for people with physical disabilities.
In recent years, the awareness of sustainable tourism has risen around the world. Many tourism industries combine sports to attract more customers to facilitate the development of the economy and the ...promotion of local culture. However, it is an important task to establish a comprehensive tourism evaluation framework for sustainable sports tourism. This study proposes a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) model to discuss the above issues, using the Bayesian Best Worst Method (Bayesian BWM) to integrate multiple experts’ judgments to generate the group optimal criteria weights. Next, the modified Visekriterijumska Optimizacija i Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) technique is combined with the concept of aspiration level to determine the performance of sports attractions and their priority ranks. In addition, this study adds a perspective of institutional sustainability to emphasize the importance of government support and local marketing. The effectiveness and robustness of the proposed model is demonstrated through potential sports tourism attractions in Taiwan. A sensitivity analysis and models comparison were also performed in this study. The results show that the proposed model is feasible for practical applications and that it effectively provides some management implications to support decision-makers in formulating improvement strategies.
The aim of this study is to investigate the direct relationship
between the environment, culture, sports tourism and economy.
Additionally, in this study, we have used sports tourism as a mediating
...variable in the relationship between environment, culture,
and economy. Moreover, the moderating role of the destination
image in the proposed relationships is examined. To validate the
model, data obtained from 373 Malaysian Ministry of Tourism,
Arts, and Culture employees is incorporated into structural equation

study, there is a positive and significant relationship between
the environment, culture, sports tourism and the economy.
Additionally, sports tourism mediates the relationship between the
environment, culture, and a country’s economy. Interestingly, the

rich environment and the potential benefits of sports tourism for
the economy. The findings of this research have important implications
for policymakers and can be helpfully used in the tourism

The development of research and reflection on this concept is becoming more and more apparent every year. The increase in the number of publications relating directly to this topic is also strongly noticeable. In this article, an attempt has been made to order and systematize scientific publications and research results that have been developed so far. The article has been prepared on the basis of a search and analysis of literature sources related to both sports tourism and the geography of tourism, or concepts related to sport. Both foreign literature and Polish literature sources were taken into account. The aforementioned literature review was presented in a chronological order. The article also mentions the alleged beginnings of the phenomenon of sports tourism dating back to ancient times. The content has been supplemented with the author’s remarks. The review of the literature has proved that the phenomenon of sports tourism has not yet been fully described and researched, which is undoubtedly due to the short time of intensification of research and deliberations on this concept.
