Current sports tourism market focuses on sports events. In terms of economic benefits, it does not simply create tourism output, but also increases consumption to further boost the economy and ...increase employment opportunities. Sports tourism present great influence on modern life, and hosting sports events allows the organizers enhancing exposure and visibility as well as resulting in considerable tourism receipts for the place. Sports events would increase tourists’ consumption in host places and create new job opportunities and considerable income. Selecting people in Fujian Province, with experience in sports event tourism, as the research samples, total 800 copies of questionnaire are distributed. After removing ones without participating in sports event tourism and invalid/incomplete copies, 423 copies are valid, with the retrieval rate 53%. The research results show that sports tourists could feel the service provided by sports event organizers through actual participation and perceive certain value to achieve satisfaction and further promote social imagery and socioeconomic benefit and sports tourists perceiving quality and complete tangible products or intangible services in the activity and consistent sports tourism activity to the expectation before participation would present the worthy feeling and value and further positively affect the social imagery. According to the results to propose discussions and suggestions, it is expected to affect the social imagery and social benefit of host places in the future events to present good service quality and benefit domestic relevant events in the future.

Purpose: Tourism is significant among countries and all over the world considered mountain tourism because of its advantages. Despite its rare nature and unique mountainous attractions, Iran has not ...been able to gain its share of this industry. This study aimed to explain the sustainable mountain tourism development model in Iran. Methodology: This is an applicable and descriptive-analytical study. It used semi-organized interviews with 22 mountain tourism experts, and the study of library documents collected preliminary data. Then, a researcher-made questionnaire was designed and validated using experts' opinions, consultation with advisors, and the views of eight experts. The reliability of this questionnaire, which had 123 items, was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha (α=0.973) and distributed among the samples, including 576 mountain tourists, guides and experts of mountain tourism, and village council officials of mountainous areas by simple random sampling. Various tests, such as King and Horrocks thematic analysis, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis used to analyze the data.Findings: The findings of the qualitative section include 100 descriptive codes, 29 interpretive codes, and three broad themes. The results of the quantitative team showed that the factors of sustainable development of mountain tourism are infrastructure in four sub-sectors, attractiveness in two sub-sectors including natural and artificial attractions, and sustainability factor in six sub-sectors. The Standardized Root Mean Square Residual and the Normed Fit Index showed that the research model has a desirable and acceptable fit.Originality: This article has determined the primary and practical factors, the relationship between these factors, and the explanation of the sustainable development model of mountain tourism in Iran. The purpose of doing it is to expand the existing knowledge for the usage of the stakeholders in mountain tourism.
The article discusses the features of the development of sports tourism. It is proved that the beginning of the new millennium was marked by the rise of the world tourist movement. Under the ...influence of rapid development of infocommunication technologies and international economic relations tourism has become one of the most representative branches of the world economy. The article proves that the development of the recreational and tourist complex of Ukraine should become a priority direction of the national economy and culture, an important factor in increasing the international prestige of the country, a source of socio-economic development of the regions, an important condition for preserving the historical and cultural heritage.
The link between sports and tourism has been widely researched. In this context, many studies have focused on sports event (SEs), finding that SEs provide a multitude of opportunities but also face ...many challenges at a local level. Despite the academic interest in the sports event tourism field, there is still little synthesis and no overview of research directions. Therefore, we proposed answering three research questions (RQs): What do we know today about the tourism perspectives of sports events? (RQ1); What are the main tourism implications of a sports event? (RQ2); What are the most and least investigated streams of research in this specific field of study? (RQ3). To answer these questions we conducted a systematized literature analysis including worldwide literature published between June 2000 and October 2020. Based on the findings, we provided insights into six clusters and their characteristics and highlighted major avenues to describe how SEs provide unique assets for tourism host destinations. Finally, we drew attention to important implications for future research, particularly in the context of the role of events for tourism recovery in the post-COVID-19 time.
최근 스포츠관광 개발이 지역발전의 효과적인 전략으로 활용되어 오면서 그 관계에 대한 심층적인 분석에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 농어촌 스포츠관광 개발에 대한 지역주민의 인식을 심층적으로 탐색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 자료 수집을 위하여 강원도 양양군 지역주민 14명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였고, 자료분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 ...결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 지역주민들은 스포츠관광 개발의 의미를 지역경제 발전과 연계하여 인식하고 있었지만 그 관계에 대하여 양가적인 인식을 지니고 있었다. 이는 스포츠관광 개발로 인해 발생하는 경제적 이익과 지역의 전통적, 환경적 보존에 대한 서로 상반된 견해들이 복합적으로 인식되기 때문이다. 둘째, 지역주민들은 또한 스포츠관광 개발을 인구유입과 연관 지어 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지역주민들은 외지인 이주로 인한 노동력 확보와 지역의 지속가능성에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하였으나, 동시에 그들의 기대에 반하는 이주민들의 행위에 대하여 우려를 나타내고 있었다. 그러나 양가적인 인식에도 불구하고 전반적으로 향후 스포츠관광 개발이 지역발전에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대하고 있었다.
The recent increasing demand on sports tourism as an effective regional development strategy requires in-depth scholarly analyses. The purpose of this study is to explore local residents’ perceptions of sports tourism development in rural areas. For data collection, 14 local residents were selected as research participants and in-depth interviews were conducted. Findings from data analyses are as follows. First, local residents were equating sports tourism development with the region’s economic development, but they had a ambivalent view of the relationship. Their ambivalent perception was associated with their mixed views on economic benefits arising from sports tourism development and awareness of regional traditional and environmental conservation. Second, it was found that local residents also recognized the development of sports tourism in connection with the population growth. Although the local residents positively perceived the securing of labor force through increasing in-migration and regional sustainability as results of sports tourism development, they also expressed concerns about newcomers’ ‘unconventional’ behaviors which did not cooperate with their expectations. However, in spite of their ambivalent views, local residents maintained a continued expectation of positive relationships between sports tourism development and regional development.
The development model of traditional sports tourism basically starts from the perspective of operation, development and management, but ignores the overall consideration of economic and social ...benefits and ecological environmental protection. In order to avoid or reduce the negative impact of sports tourism on the environment, the development of ecological sports tourism based on the perspective of geological ecology is the top priority for the healthy and sustainable development of sports tourism. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing previous research results, this paper introduced the methods and principles of carrying capacity of geological ecology and environmental system of sports tourism, conducted the model construction of environmental science for sports tourism, analyzed the optimization strategy of environmental science for sports tourism, constructed the environmental science of sports tourism based on geological ecology, performed the resource integration of sustainable development for sports tourism, proposed the functional integration of sustainable development for sports tourism, explored the sustainable development of sports tourism based on geological ecology, and finally discussed the relationship between sports tourism and geological ecological capacity and the achieving approaches for sustainable development of sports tourism. The study results show that for environmental science, its overall benefits range from 43% to 72% with an average of 58%; for sustainable development, that range from 55% to 79% with an average of 68%. For environmental science, the resource integration of sports facilities decrease from 95% to 66% when geological ecological capacity range from 40% to 90%; for sustainable development, that of sports facilities decrease from 91% to 59% when geological ecological capacity range from 40% to 90%. The environmental science and sustainable development of sports tourism based on the perspective of geological ecology can ecologically and organically combine sports activities and tourism activities in accordance with scientific and reasonable concepts, develop various sports that can satisfy tourist demands, and can achieve ecological, economic and social benefits of ecological sports tourism. The study results of this paper provide a reference for further researches on the environmental science and sustainable development of sports tourism based on the perspective of geological ecology.

Social processes ascribing authenticity to touristic phenomena is an area of tourism theory lacking empirical insights. This paper addresses the French Alps as a historically significant landscape for the Tour de France and presents an empirical exploration of Cohen and Cohen’s (2012) theoretical framework of authentication in tourism. Using the context of a commercially organized tour, social practices of sports tourists which reinforced and amplified the status of the French Alps as authentic “Tour space” are analyzed. Embodied cycling excursions combined with collective, participatory roadside practices constituted performative acts of authentication, whilst mediation of encounters with places of sporting significance highlighted authentication as a cyclical process.
La relación entre los eventos deportivos y el fenómeno del turismo ha sido una temática de investigación académica relevante en diferentes áreas del conocimiento. La presente publicación tiene como ...objetivo hacer una síntesis de la investigación que se ha desarrollado en los campos del deporte y turismo, con el fin de entender sus características, los métodos científicos utilizados, así como los principales hallazgos y limitaciones. Se hizo una revisión sistemática de la literatura publicada sobre el tema en revistas indexadas en Scopus y en ISI Web of Science entre enero de 2010 y octubre de 2017, se desarrolló un protocolo para realizar búsquedas avanzadas en las bases de datos, se seleccionaron 94 artículos en 5 revistas científicas de turismo y deportes entre las que están en el cuartil más elevados de las bases citadas. Los resultados identifican los principales elementos de investigación, así como el aumento significativo en la producción científica. Existe un contenido amplio y diverso de análisis sobre las ciudades y países anfitriones de los últimos Juegos Olímpicos de Verano y de Invierno, de las últimas dos ediciones de la Copa del Mundo de fútbol FIFA, pero es limitado el número de trabajos bajo eventos deportivos regionales y locales. Se presentan los principales enfoques de abordaje en la investigación, que permiten entender la trascendencia de este segmento que tiene un crecimiento importante en todo el mundo.
With the growing demand for sports and tourism among urban residents and the support of national policies, an important topic for urgent research is to explore the integrated development mechanism ...between sports tourism industry agglomeration standardisation and tourism urbanisation. There is a lack of research on the virtuous integrated and coordinated development mechanism between the two. In response, this paper conducts a study on the coordination of the integrated development between sports tourism industry standardisation and tourism urbanisation. The paper elaborates on the development model of sports tourism industry, and presents a systemic causal loop of their integrated development. It delivers a spatio-temporal relationship analysis on whether there is sustainable integrated interaction between the two and accordingly constructs a spatio-temporal analysis model. Based on Pearson correlation coefficient, cluster analysis and coupling coordination degree, the paper conducts a quantitative analysis to further explore the interaction mechanism between the two, and gives a calculation method for the coordination of their integrated development. At last, the paper compared the comprehensive development levels of sports tourism industry standardization and tourism urbanization, gave the measurement and calculation results of the level of their integrated development, and verified the effectiveness of the proposed research method. This study has certain significance for improving the correlation between sports tourism industry standardization and tourism urbanization in the urban research system.
