This study reports on the cognitive and psychological attributes of language comprehension during cultural exchange among athletes (N = 20) from the United States, Great Britain, and Brazil. The ...research examined the linguistic significance of American English in a global marketplace, with particular attention to cross-cultural communication among those who speak U.S. English natively but must succeed in internationally competitive contexts. The major results demonstrated that while speaking their mother tongue, individuals were typically more confident and less likely to feel ashamed than when using their individual second language (English). Athletes were also shown to have no trouble distinguishing between languages, as they were able to recognise certain terms in both Spanish and Portuguese despite not being competent in either language. The results were understood to mean that, despite not being competent in a second language, athletes kept their capacity to think and converse about the world in an English-language framework.
In this paper, we use the support vector regression algorithm to minimize the loss function between the real value of sports tourism samples and the predicted value of the model, deal with the ...complex nonlinear problems through the MLP neural network model, and design a sports tourism development model based on the machine learning model. Focusing on the use of a support vector regression algorithm and MLP neural network model to predict the tourist flow, the panel threshold regression model is used to test whether the variables have a threshold effect on each other and the relationship between the sports industry and tourism development is deeply explored. Based on this basis, the current situation and development of sports tourism were analyzed using data from Province S and 29 provinces in China. The results show that there is a threshold effect on the influence of the Chinese sports industry on regional tourism development, and the estimated value of the threshold is 1.8293. The level of the sports industry in Chinese provinces can be divided into less developed regions of the sports industry ≤1.8293 and developed regions of the sports industry >1.8293. In the first model, which only includes the value of the level of the sports industry in the current period, the relationship between the sports industry and regional tourism development presents a “ λ Λ” shape.

Rural sports tourism is an emerging industry that integrates rural tourism and sports tourism and plays an important role in broadening the field of sports and cultural consumption and driving rural ...economic development. Under the background of big data, how to better integrate rural sports culture and sports tourism becomes an important issue to improve the quality of rural tourism. This paper analyzes the big data of rural sports tourism on the Internet review platform based on big data processing technology, combined with the investigation and research on the current situation of rural sports tourism resources in a town. The big data analysis shows that rural sports tourists are only 7% more female than male, and the overall gender ratio is relatively balanced. In terms of age composition, the largest number of tourists were between 36 and 45 years old, accounting for 42.6%. In addition, rural sports tourists aged 26 to 60 accounted for 82.6% of all, indicating that rural sports tourism is dominated by middle-aged and elderly people. In terms of travel time, the largest number of rural sports tourists chose 2 to 3 days, accounting for 33.8%, and only 2.3% traveled for more than 7 days. In the choice of travel mode, 37.6% of tourists are organized by travel agencies, accounting for the largest number of travelers. From the big data emotional analysis of the evaluation words of sports tourists, the most frequent occurrence is characteristic, reaching 435 times, and the least frequent is danger, but also 89 times. Meanwhile, convenience and health also appear more frequently. Comprehensive analysis of the above, this paper believes that rural sports tourism should promote more local characteristics of sports culture and highlight differentiation while strengthening personal safety protection measures for tourists.
This paper examines the reality of sports tourism resources by effectively integrating the universal symbiosis and spatial hierarchy of sports tourism resources. Spatial analysis is utilized to view ...each element of the near-neighboring related element environment to find the spatial distribution probability density value of the random distribution within the sports tourism resources. The overall data distribution can be inferred from the limited samples, and calculations are performed to recognize localized density changes in the distribution of point-like samples. The highest mean value of sports resources density is 0.827, the highest comprehensive value of tourism resources evaluation is 0.82 points, and the maximum value of tourism competitiveness is 0.389. The spatial analysis perspective greatly improves the sports tourism industry’s comprehensive strength and the economy’s sustainable development is realized.
This paper begins by analyzing the high-quality development of sports tourism and then characterizes the massive data in sports tourism with multi-source heterogeneous and heterogeneous data. The ...parallel data fusion platform is Hadoop, and the multi-data feature extraction algorithm is LSTM. To complete multi-source data fusion, a random forest model enhances the algorithm’s classification performance. It is verified that the information weight value H in the weight of high-quality development of sports tourism gradually increases and stabilizes at 9.87. The multi-source data fusion algorithm can help in the in-depth fusion and common sharing of data resources in sports tourism and promote the high-quality development of sports tourism.
Sports tours are a key category of tourism with special interest whose evolution and development are influenced by a variety of limiters and facilitators. Research literature recommends exploring ...these factors. Therefore, our goal was to present a grounded theory about the development of sports tours in Iran's tourism industry. For this purpose, we considered Glaser's approach and conducted 15 interviews with experts in the field of tourism and sports tours who worked under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Iran. The data were analyzed using the Glaser's approach principles. The developed theory from this study showed that the development of sports tours is an structure that stops moving under the influence of inhibitors such as financial, political, security, structural, and organizational issues, and travels the path of perfection and progress through facilitators such as natural attractions, the role of the media, the role of tour guides, the quality of services, information technology, support, culture, and training, and the human force. Based on this result, it can be said that the development and evolution of sports tours in Iran are influenced by various determinants, and it is important to remove the limiting factors and strengthen the factors that play a facilitating role in the development of sports tours.
This study investigates consumer engagement within the live sport-as-service industry by exploring the match-day experiences of spectator sport tourists. It highlights the importance of authentic and ...sincere experiences manifest through tourists' interactions with local fans. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews with international tourists who had visited Glasgow and attended a Celtic FC match. The findings demonstrate that football clubs may overlook the importance of consumer engagement, and that local fans are crucial in sustaining sports tourists' engagement. To this end, the findings suggest that tourist interactions with local fans can stimulate more memorable and enjoyable travel. Furthermore, the vocal, visual displays provided by local fans contribute to an authentic and sincere travel experience. The study therefore suggests that local fans are a resource under-utilised by professional sports teams, with their contribution serving as a vital bridge between organisation and tourist in fostering engagement.
Given the unprecedented and profound impact on the traditional sports industry and its economic driving force brought by the "Internet +", the purpose of this study is to explore the driving ...relationship between the sports industry and local economic development and deconstruct the dynamic regulation mechanism of "Internet +" on the economic spillover of the sports industry. Empirical data collected from China's 11 inter-provincial panel data from 2015-2019 were analyzed through the fixed-effects and threshold models. The study finds that the economic spillover of the sports industry has significantly promoted regional economic development, and the regulation effect of the Internet has complex non-linear characteristics. Only when Internet development exceeds a specific threshold can it develop a benign complementary mechanism with the sports industry. The impact of "Internet +" on the threshold regulation of the sports industry economic spillover has spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics in the three dimensions of Internet hardware level, Internet penetration rate, and Internet application value. The results of this study extend the current study, indicating that it is a practical choice for local governments to develop the economy through the sports industry. Provinces and cities should enhance the Internet penetration rate, expand Internet business applications, and upgrade Internet development to a specific point to maximize the drive of positive spillover. Regional heterogeneity requires differential regulation strategies and more concentration on the middle and western regions.
