    問題解決の失敗後に自分の思考過程を振り返り,次の問題解決に役立つ知識を獲得することは,効果的に学習を進めていくために必要である。一方,先行研究では,振り返りを通して自分の間違いから適切に学ぶことができない学習者の存在も指摘されている。そこで本研究では,問題解決の失敗後の振り返りにおいて,学習者がどのような知識を学んでいるのかという振り返りの質を検討するために,メタ認知的方略「教訓帰納」に焦点を当て,学習者が引き出した教訓の質を評価した。教訓の質を評価するために新たな評価基準を作成し,中学2年生を対象に,文章題を題材とした教訓帰納課題と質問紙調査を実施した。評価された教訓の質得点と数学の学業成績との関連の検討と,数学教師による評価結果との比較検討から,本研究で作成した評価基準が教訓の質を捉えるために有用といえることが示された。また,参加者が引き出した教訓の質の評価から,自分の間違いを的確に分析することや,問題解決の転移に役立つ汎用的な知識を抽出することが困難であるという実態が示された。さらに,教訓の質と学習者特性との関連を検討した結果,意味理解志向や失敗活用志向などの深い認知処理を重視する学習観が,質の高い教訓の引き出しにかかわっている可能性が示唆された。
