Nowadays, there is no operation in the field of abdominal surgery, which cannot be performed laparoscopically. Both surgeons and patients have at their disposal an increasing number of laparoscopic ...techniques to perform the surgical interventions. The prevalence of laparoscopic cholecystectomy is due to its undeniable advantages over the traditional open surgery, namely small invasiveness, reducing the frequency and severity of perioperative complications, the incomparably better cosmetic result, and the so much better medical and social, and medical and economic efficiency. Single-port laparoscopic techniques to perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy are acceptable alternative to the classical conventional multi-port techniques. The security of the laparoscopic cholecystectomy requires precise identification of anatomical structures and precise observing the diagnostic and treatment protocols, and criteria for selection of patients to be treated surgically by these methods.
: It is widely recommended that kenneled dogs are provided with environmental enrichment such as toys or feeding devices. However, the adoption of enrichment for military working dogs is impeded by ...a widespread belief that it reduces their motivation to work. Handlers of 22 working German Shepherd dogs were asked to rate their dogs on 11 attributes pertaining to working ability, related behavioral traits, and health. Eight of the dogs were then provided with daily feeding enrichment for 4 months, while the remainder were given equivalent human attention. The same 11 traits were scored again following the enrichment period: 10 changed little over the period while handlers’ reports of their dogs’Ability to learn from being rewarded increased significantly. Changes for all attributes were virtually identical in enriched and control dogs. We conclude that if correctly managed, feeding enrichment can be introduced to kenneled working dogs without any reported detrimental effects upon working ability, health, or behavior.

Osteonecrosis (ON) is a rare disabling complication occurring in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection at a higher frequency than in the general population despite effective ...combination antiretroviral therapy being made available, as recently documented by several retrospective studies. We designed a multicentric case–control study among HIV-infected patients cared for at institutions in the Italian CISAI group (Italian Study Group for Adverse Events in HIV Infection) to search for additional predictors of ON in this special population. All centers which observed at least one case of ON were requested to report data for central re-evaluation. Parallel HIV-positive, ON-free controls were randomly selected and matched with confirmed cases of ON for sex, age and CD4 T-cell counts at the time of HIV diagnosis. Fifteen cases and controls were included in the final sample. Univariate statistical analyses revealed a significant association between ON and exposure to steroids (
P
= 0.001), exposure to one or more drugs in addition to HAART (Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy) (
P
= 0.03), high titers of total serum IgE (
P
= 0.02), loss of working ability (
P
= 0.03), triglycerides levels over 200 mg/dL before antiretrovirals (
P
= 0.03) and cholesterol levels over 200 mg/dL before and after antiretrovirals (
P
= 0.03 and 0.05, respectively). High serum IgE levels and loss of working ability in advance of ON appeared for the first time as possible predictors of ON in HIV patients, while long-term exposure to steroids, combined hyperlipemia and chronic treatment with other drugs in addition to antiretrovirals were confirmed. Predicting and preventing ON in the individual HIV-infected patient is therefore a clinically challenging opportunity.
In enclosed or extreme environments, the psychological stress and physical state of the operator can prevent the work from being carried out effectively in the long term. To decrease an operator's ...decisional and operational errors caused by his poor status in this environment, it is significant to develop an assessment model for getting the operator's working ability in order to assist operators in assisting decision-making or providing advice. The present study presents an assessment model for the operator's working ability based on deep learning. The model recognizes the operator's emotion by using the Vision Transformer (ViT) and then collects the operator's physical state through smart devices. Obtaining the ability assessment results of personnel in different states through surveys. Eventually, assess his ability through the convolutional neural network (CNN). The result suggests that the proposed method is feasible and reliable. The assessment model proposed in this paper considering physical state and mental state can be used to assist decision-making and ability assessment.
The premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a complex pathological symptom manifesting itselft through variety of neuropsychiatric, vegetative-vascular and metabolic-endocrine disorders that affect the ...quality of life of patients and reduces their working ability. The treatment of PMS starts with the selection of diets, correction of the working and rest periods and the maximum reduction of psychoemotional stress. For the purpose of pharmaceutical effetc hormonal therapies, psychotropic drugs, nonsteroid antiinflammatory drugs, diuretics, plant and homeopathic drugs, vitamins are used. The most pathogenetically reasonable is hormonal therapy. The use of combined oral contraceptives enriched by folates as a way of PMS therapy has an additional effective impact on the nervous system, contributes to the stabilization of the central neuroregulatory mechanisms and reduces the expression of emotional and affective symptoms and cognitive disorders.
Thailand is now a complete aging society, which impact the society and economy. A measure to provide stable income for elders is to support health promotion together with upskilling and reskilling of ...working. The objectives of this research are to crate and develop a system to recommend suitable job for elders and analyze the factors that motivate elders to work in a local area. The system provides services of record data, analyze data, processing data, visual analytics, and even predict the Elders' working ability for up to 76.6% accuracy in overall. The top factors were analyzed and found to indicate a decision and motivation behind the current status of elder working situation.
Introduction: Stress in healthcare workers in the hospital is a series of harmful physiological and psychological reactions to situations in which certain job requirements are not in line with its ...capabilities. Aim: The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of stress in health care workers in the hospital conditions of the Clinical Center of Montenegro in Podgorica. Material and Methods: A descriptive research method was chosen. The sample consisted of persons of both sexes. 113 randomly selected respondents participated in the research, the target group is respondents employed at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, the Institute of Pediatrics, of which 27% are doctors and 73% nurses-technicians, of different education. An anonymous survey questionnaire compiled for the purposes of this research was used as a research instrument. It includes the working population of nurses and doctors, aged 20 to 65. Results: Measuring stress levels in health workers 27 variables were identified as potential causes of stress. Respondents point out "inadequate personal income" (68.14%) as the major cause of stress. More than a half of the respondents (50.44 %), point out that the biggest cause of stress is "Work overload". In third place is "Misinformation of patients from the media and other sources" (46.02%). As with previous considerations, it is evident that different causes of stress are treated differently in relation to the organizational unit in which the employee performs work duties. Conclusion: The biggest causes of stress, and therefore psychosomatic illnesses, are fear, worry and guilt. Lack of time, work pressures, deadlines, high expectations, but also many other factors can affect the occurrence of stress. Precisely for the above reasons, and having in mind the nature of work, this research sought to contribute to measuring how certain stressors can affect employees in a health care institution.
