  • Building land valuation and housing construction in Slovenia
    Šubic Kovač, Maruška
The period following the World War II in Slovenia was generally marked by constitutionally assured superiority of socially owned production means, as well as building land. Land price in the ... institutionalised market of building land was administratively set through individual normative acts, and comparatively low. The land as expense did not represent a mentionable factor in the planning phase, nor in the phase of construction and land use. This article takes the existing legislation and situation in the field of land valuation in Slovenia as the starting-point. It is presupposed that market legalities shall find more expression in the land market of the future. For this reason, eventual consequences have been analysed in the article which might be brought about by the change of circumstances in the field of housing construction in Slovenia. Above all the consequences in the field of housing construction planning, housing-construction land acquiring and apartment prices.
