  • Liberalisation of the internal energy market and environmental protection in the aspect of European legislation

    The paper presents some typical processes for the energy reform, including EU legislation, with emphasis on market liberalization. This is a consequence of increased energy consumption and increasing ... emission of greenhouse gases caused by the use of conventional energy sources. The percentage of renewable energy resources in energy sectors is increasing as a consequence of this. The main objective of the legislative format proposed by the Council and the Commission is to enhance sustainability and improve the assurance of energy supplies in the EU.
