  • Parallelization of BEMflow using a combination of algebraic parallelization and domain decomposition methods
    Ravnik, Jure ; Žunič, Zoran
This paper introduces the Nvaier-Stokes equations solver BEMflow. The fundamentals for the velocity formulation are given along woth the Boundary Element Method and the Finite Element Method solution ... algorithm. An algebraic parallelization scheme for the kinematic equation is combined with the domain decomposition approach for the kinetic equation. A variable under-relaxatiobn algorithm is introduced, which ensures approximately the same number of iterations of the nonlinear loop regrdless of the number of subdomains used in the calculation. Memory requirements and speed up curves are presented for lid driven cavity test case. This work was made during the HPC Europa sponsored stay of the authors at the University of Stuttgart.
