  • Use of low frequency dielectric spectroscopy for monitoring cement hydration kinetics
    Hanžič, Lucija ; Mandžuka, Goran
Dielectric spectroscopy in low frequency range ▫$10-10^6$▫ Hz was applied to study cement hydration kinetics. Changes of conductivity were analysed for three sets of cement paste having water-cement ... ratio 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5. It was determined that the dependence of conductivity in the low frequency range is given by relaxation time ▫$\tau$▫ (s) and empirical parameter (p). Up to 10 h of hydration, the value of p is constant and was found to be 0.9, 0.85 and 0.82 for w\c ratios 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5. respectively. After 10 h, the value of pgradually decreases to app. 0.5. The comparison of results obtained by NMR is given.
