    The article presents results of some foreign and domestic (Slovenian) researches which, on one hand, show positive effects of integration, and, on the other hand, the negative ones. The main ... attention is drawn to the evaluation of results of effectiveness of the project of integration of hearing-impaired children in the regular basic school from the aspect of their acceptance and perception of their personality characteristics by peers. Pupils of the experimental classroom with three hearing-impaired peers showed a lower degree of preparedness and willingness toward interaction with disabled children rather than pupils of the control group. When speaking about disabled pupils, they used adjectives of negative and compassionate meaning. The sex of pupils, which, according to some researches, represents a significant factor, does not play a statistically significant role in our research
