    The main objective of the thesis was to support decision-making and design & planning operations within a geographic information system (GIS) with a tool in a form of a geoprocessing model and raster ... layer of cost factor (cost grid) of construction service of vertical excavations of a trench for the inlay of the telecommunication dutch systems. We tested and validated the prototype geoprocessing model and the resulting raster layer of cost factor based on the set methodology and real scenario test cases for the telecommunication industry.
