  • The correlation between the causes of traffic accidents and consequences

    After gaining its independence, the Republic of Slovenia had to establish certain state mechanisms which would help lead the state policy and management. One of these mechanisms is the state traffic ... policy which includes the system of traffic safety assurance. Beside the increase of preventive actions and strict performance of repressive measures, greater attention has been given to the soonest possible elimination of the spots where traffic accidents are very frequent. The methodology for eliminating black traffic accident spots is based on the abolishment of technical defects which caused them, leaving out the psychological aspects of the drivers` behaviour.
