  • Use of Euromess interface and analysis of measurement by means of neuron network

    This paper is concerned about working out a measuring system based on the EUROMESS interface with which the wear and breakage of tools are monitored. The signals from meter are transmitted through ... the RS 232 interface into the computer up to the peripheral units where they are stored in the ROM, RAM and analyzed in the CPU. For analyzing the results the method for calculation of the neuron network and the linear factor regression are used. Worn of broken tool are two causes of stoppage of production. Breakage of the tool causes damages to products so that scrapping can occur and the production process may be stopped. Sensors are used to flollow up the forces which increase with the wear of the tool. When the force exceeds the set value a signal is given for replacement of the tool.
