  • Ranljivost okolja = Environmental vulnerability
    Brečko Grubar, Valentina ...
The environmental vulnerability of the discussed areas was studied by means of an original geographical methodology that is coming into existence on the base of the provisions of the Environmental ... Protection Act (adopted in 1993). Spodnje Podravje with Prlekija was divided into 26 landscape-ecological units for which the analysis was performed as to the individual landscape-forming elements, and the evaluation was made of the landscape vulnerability (regenerative and neutralizing capacities) and landscape pollution. On the bases of the ratio between the sensitivity and pollution, the evaluation was made of vulnerability of individual landscape-forming elements and landscape-ecological units. Outstanding in the discussed areas is water vulnerability, especially the vulnerability of groundwater areas. In taking decisions on landscape utilization it will be necessary to take into account the vulnerability of other landscape-forming elements; it is further increased also by natural endangerment (floods, land slides)
