  • Hydrolases in SC CO2 and their use in a high pressure membrane reactor
Primožič, Mateja, 1975- ; Leitgeb, Maja ; Knez, Željko
Thermal stability and activity of enzymes in supercritical CO2 and propane were investigated at the pressure of 300 bar and in the temperature range from 20-90 °C. Proteinase from carica papaya was ... incubated in microaqueous SCCO2 and at atmospheric pressure in nonaqueous system. Lipases stability in aqueous medium at atmospheric pressure and in SC CO2 as well as near criticalpropane at 100 bar and 40 °C was studied. For the investigation of the solvent impact , these were chosen from different sources: Pseudomonas fluorescences, Rhizpous javanicus, Rhizopusniveus and Porchine pancreas. On the basis of our previous study on lipase activities in dense gases, a high pressure continuous stirred tank membrane reactor was designed. As a model reactor hydrolysis of sunflower oil in SC CO2 in this reactor was performed. The reaction was catalysed bynthe lipase preparation Lipolase 100T and performed at 50 °C and 200 bar.
