  • Ugotavljanje termične stabilnosti jasmonske kisline z metodami termične analize
    Kristl, Matjaž ; Kristl, Janja
One of the possible methods for the detection of jasmonic acid, known as a plant growth regulator, is HPLC with fluorescence detection. Prior to the detection, the acid must be derivatized. For a ... successful derivatization, thermal stability of jasmonic acid must be known, but no data on this topic could be found in avaliable literature. Thermal degradation of jasmonic acid has been studied using methods of thermal analysis (TDG and DSC) under different experimental conditions. The peak temperatures tend to show a much greater variation with the heating rate than does the extrapolated onset temperature, which was taken as a measure of the thermal stability.Jasmonic acid is thermally stable up to 70 °C and decomposes exothermic in air at higher temperatures with a mass loss 96,5% up to 300°C.
