  • Managing corporate social responsability (CSR) : a case of multiple benefits of socially responsible behaviour of a firm

    Sustainable development (SD) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) require humans to behave requisitely holistically, i.e. in a systemic way. The recognition of societal needs and especially of ... societal problems is becoming critical for survival, not only for development. Socially responsible behaviour of all stakeholders in both local and global community can milder the consequences of scarcity caused by predominant patterns of consumption. The paper focuses on the problem of over-consumption of fossil fuels and on sustainable consumption as an aspect of SD. Our research findings are leaned upon selected single case. The case study presents empirical enquiry of enterprise providing education in solar energy. In this way a special profession, the so-called solarteur, is introduced.
