  • A study of the relaxation phenomena of fabrics containing elastane yarns

    In contribution is special attention intended to study of the relaxation phenomena of the fabrics containing elastane yarn. For this purpose the relaxation phenomena of wound fabric under constant ... deformation, as the consequence of accumulated stress during winding, was analysed. The Maxwell's model is used for explanation of the relaxation in the roll. The other part of contribution highlights the responses of fabrics containing elastane yarn after unrolling and spreading in the lay as the consequence of accumulating the stress inside the roll and the acting tensile forces during laying the fabric. The results of the study of the relaxation phenomena of the fabrics containing elastane yarn show close connection between stress relaxation under constant deformation in the fabric roll and the degree of deformation with manually unwinding. Expertising of the relaxation phenomena in fabrics containing elastane yarns has big influence on explanation the problem of dimension changes and instability in such fabrics. The cognitions about relaxation phenomena in fabics containing elastane yarn will contribute to ingineer planning of production process.
