    Communal practices of consumption in late prehistoric societies in the Iberian Peninsula have become the subject of increasing scholarly interest in recent years – especially commensality and banquets. Improvements in methodology and recording techniques in archaeological sites, along with finer analysis of the contexts, the meanings and the functions of objects, have led to significant advances in our understanding of the domain of relationships and consumption for the Iberian complex societies.
