In an increasingly urbanized world, population displacement is a recurrent issue in the framework of neoliberal urbanism, matching even that of rural settings. The approaches the literature uses to study these processes can be divided into two main perspectives: gentrification processes and large urban projects. Both perspectives underline the displacement phenomenon as one of the major urban issues of today in connection with ensuring the right to the city for large majorities.
