Athletes are many times pushed to their limits by intense workouts and by limited time given for recovery. Extreme exercise induces a physiologic defence mechanism known as exhaustion and sensation of tiredness. When faced with exhaustion athletes try to regenerate their lack of energy by consuming high energy drinks. This is a common misbelieve since there is no "magic drink" that would quickly and fully recuperate the strength lost during strenuous exercise. Energy drinks can help to some degree but it is if high importance for the athlete to be aware of his/her own limits and according to that choose the sport category that would fit his/ her capabilities the best. In this study we tried to assess which energetic drinks and their rout of administration would make the greatest impact on athletes hydration before, during and after the practice session.
