La crisis del concepto de «historia de la literatura» se produjo en los años sesenta del siglo pasado, después de centuria y media de una hegemonía académica que había empezado cuatrocientos años antes, vinculada a las diferentes «literaturas nacionales» modernas que permanecieron muy ligadas al desarrollo posterior de esa pauta. Hacia 1970, sin embargo, surgieron en su marco nuevos horizontes de trabajo: la «estética de la recepción», el estudio de la literatura como institución y campo de poder, el protagonismo de los Cultural Studies, etc. El objeto de este artículo es exponer la evolución general del concepto de «historia de la literatura» y, en su marco, esbozar su desarrollo y sus problemas en el caso español. The crisis of the concept of «History of the Literature» occurred in the sixties decade of the 20th century, after a century and a half of an academic hegemony that had begun four centuries before, linked to the different modern «National Literatures» that remained strongly bounded to a later development. Nevertheless, around 1970, new horizons of work arose in this field: the «Reception Aesthetics», the study of the Literature like an institution and a field of power, the prominence of Cultural Studies, etc. The object of this article is to expose the general evolution of the concept of «History of the Literature» and, in his field, to outline his development and his problems in the Spanish case.
