Thermal characteristics of board materials, both raw ones and those finished with different veneers and varnishes, obtained by performing measurements on a cone calorimeter with heat fluxes of 30 and 60 kW/m 2 are presented in the paper. Moreover, emissions of toxic products of thermal decomposition and combustion of boards at 600°C were determined. The thermal decomposition and combustion were carried out in a static system by a chamber method. Quantitative analysis of emissions for CO, CO 2 and NO x content was performed.
