After the revolution, the huge production concern is interesting for the foreign investors, however, all the ailments of the Czech economy are concentrated here at the same time, particularly the difficulties with marketing as well as the outdated machinery. In spite of that, all employees aim to return the brand Skoda to the world market. In his speech Havel emphasized that the path towards a functioning market economy will be long and difficult and within changing the political system there logically is a period of uncertainty, chaos and social upheavals.
