Die Verfasserin zeigt im ersten Teil ihrer Untersuchung die Ursachen für die Herausbildung der kolumbianischen Drogenökonomie auf (komparative Kostenvorteile) und bestimmt deren Stellenwert als eigenständigem Sektor in der Wirtschaft des Landes. Der zweite Teil ist dem Zusammenhang zwischen Drogenökonomie und Gewaltkonfiguration gewidmet. Hier geht es um die anomisierende Wirkung der Drogenökonomie, um Klientelismus und Gewalt als kompensatorische Ressourcen auf nicht-kompetitiven Märkten und um die unterschiedlichen Typen nichtstaatlicher Drogengewalt. Die Verfasserin vertritt die These, dass die Drogenökonomie in Kolumbien den Krieg zwischen Guerilla, Paramilitärs und Staat zwar finanziell stabilisiert und Wirtschaft, Staat, Zivilgesellschaft und Gewalt anomisiert, aber nicht Kriegs- oder Gewaltursache ist. Entsprechend votiert sie abschließend für eine komplexe Herangehensweise an die Problematik einer Konfliktlösung. (ICE2) In the first part of her study, the author shows the reasons for the emergence of the Colombian drug economy (comparative cost advantages) and determines its importance as an independent sector in the economy of the country. The second part is devoted to the connection between drug economy and violent configuration. This article deals with the anomizing effect of the drug economy, clientelism and violence as compensatory resources on noncompetitive markets and the different types of non-state drug violence. The author argues that while the drugs economy in Colombia stabilizes the war between guerrillas, paramilitaries and states financially and anomalies economy, state, civil society and violence, it is not a cause of war or violence. In conclusion, she argues for a complex approach to the problem of conflict resolution. (ICE2)
