Pliskovica Youth Hotel now operates in a restored Karst farmhouse, protected as a cultural monument. Slamčeva domačija homestead is located on the southern edge of the village of Pliskovica. It consists of a dwelling and a barn, which in the past housed a stable and a storehouse for hay and agricultural produce, tools and carts. It is surrounded by a large enclosed courtyard, the 'borjač', which is accessed by two simply shaped stone entrance portals, or two 'kaloni'. After the renovation of the building, the house and the stable are covered with stone roofing, 'skrle'. The homestead was abandoned for several years, but in 2001 it was converted into a youth hotel. An open fireplace was retained in the dwelling as part of a small dining room.
