  • Diplomatic relations, modern law of diplomacy and the Republic of Slovenia: selected aspects

    Some aspect of diplomatic relations of the Republic of Slovenia are explored, emphasising the municipal and international legal frameworks of those relations in particular. Apart from some more ... general theoretical, doctrinal, and methodological considerations three interrelated concrete questions are answered: (i) how has Slovenia established its diplomatic relations; (ii) which rules of the modern law of diplomacy has it observed; and (iii) how has it adjusted its legal system to obligations demanded by thisparticular international system of legal rules. Considering those issues some critical points have been established. Nevertheless, a general overview of processes arising from establishing and maintaining Slovenia's diplomatic relations may be positively evaluated, specifying some long-term tasks to be addressed in the future.
