  • Concurrent engineering in sheet metal forming process development

    If the final part has to be produced without mistakes, the development process must be supported by means of modern techniques. The most important methodology in designing a new product is the ... concurrent engineering and its tools to lower the development and manufacturing times. In paper a special emphasis is given to use of numerical simulations of sheet metal forming operations. Some attention is also given to the use of other techniques in sheet metal production process development cycle. The experiences are presented on the industrial example - apart for automotive industry. The importance of introduction of tool manufacturing company into production process development cycle is emphasised, too.
