This paper proposes a novel approach called SCDNN, which combines spectral clustering (SC) and deep neural network (DNN) algorithms. First, the dataset is divided into
subsets based on sample similarity using cluster centres, as in SC. Next, the distance between data points in a testing set and the training set is measured based on similarity features and is fed into the deep neural network algorithm for intrusion detection. Six KDD-Cup99 and NSL-KDD datasets and a sensor network dataset were employed to test the performance of the model. These experimental results indicate that the SCDNN classifier not only performs better than backpropagation neural network (BPNN), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF) and Bayes tree models in detection accuracy and the types of abnormal attacks found. It also provides an effective tool of study and analysis of intrusion detection in large networks.
In this work, the genuine resonance states of full-charm tetraquark systems with quantum numbers JPC=0++,1+−,2++ are searched in a nonrelativistic chiral quark model with the help of the Gaussian ...Expansion Method. In this calculation, two structures, meson-meson and diquark–antidiquark, as well as their mixing with all possible color-spin configurations, are considered. The results show that no bound states can be formed. However, resonances are possible because of the color structure. The genuine resonances are identified by the stabilization method (real scaling method). Several resonances for the full-charm system are proposed, and some of them are reasonable candidates for the full-charm states recently reported by LHCb.
S-doped TiO2 photocatalyst with high visible light activity was prepared by acid catalyzed hydrolysis method using thiourea (TU) as sulfur source. The catalyst was characterized by DRS, XPS, XRD, ...FTIR, SEM and N2 adsorption. It was found that cation S6+ was homogeneously incorporated into the bulk phase of TiO2 and substitutes for some of the lattice titanium (Ti4+). Doped S can form a new band above the valence band and narrow the band-gap of the photocatalyst, giving rise to a second absorption edge in the visible light region. The activity of the catalyst was examined by photodegradation of phenol in aqueous solution under both artificial visible light and solar light irradiation. The activity of catalyst was found to be dependent on the doping amount of S and the maximum activity was observed when the catalyst was obtained by calcinated at 600 degrees C with the mass ratio of TU/TiO2=1. Too much of new-generated band-gap structures due to higher S-doping could act as recombination centers for electron-hole pairs. Catalyst with optimum S-doping exhibited the highest activity under both artificial light and solar irradiation for phenol degradation. In addition, doped S also beneficial for the better dispersion, large S(BET) and phase transformation retardation of TiO2.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) versus conventional phacoemulsification cataract surgery (CPCS) in the treatment ...of cataract. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were searched in PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. Nine qualified studies with a total of 989 eyes were included. Compared with CPCS, FLACS significantly reduced mean phaco energy and effective phacoemulsification time (EPT) required in the surgery. Central corneal thickness (CCT) was significantly lower in FLACS at 1 day of follow-up, but CCT and corneal endothelial cells count was comparable at 1 week of follow-up or longer. FLACS achieved a better visual outcome at postoperative 1 week and 6 months, but the difference was not significant at postoperative 1-3 months. Regard to surgical complications, the incidences of intraoperative anterior capsule tear, postoperative macular edema and elevated intraocular pressure were similar. In conclusion, femtosecond laser pretreatment can reduce phaco energy and EPT, which may reduce the heat damage to ocular tissues by ultrasound. This novel technique might be beneficial for patients with dense cataract and/or low preoperative endothelial cell values. Well-designed RCTs with longer follow-up are still necessary to provide more reliable evidence.
Metal oxide semiconductor photocatalysts have received remarkable consideration as a promising technology for environmental remediation and energy conversion. Oxysulfide semiconductors have narrow ...band gaps which are appropriate for photocatalytic removal of toxic organic pollutants under visible light illumination. For the elimination purpose of these pollutants, Mo(O,S)2, Mn(O,S)2, and Mn–Mo(O,S)2 oxysulfide catalysts containing various Mn contents were synthesized at low temperatures via a simple method. The structural, morphological, electrochemical, compositional, and optical properties of the as-synthesized catalysts were exhaustively characterized. The photocatalytic degradation activity of the bares Mo(O,S)2, Mn(O,S)2, and other Mn–Mo(O,S)2 compositions were evaluated over different types of organic pollutants under visible light illumination. The addition of Mn in Mo(O,S)2 structure improved the photodegradation activity, and Mn–Mo(O,S)2-30 was found to be the best composition with superior photodegradation performance towards the four cationic, anionic, and neutral dyes. The degradation efficiency of 10 ppm of MB, and MO dyes reach 99.7 % and 98.6 %, within 30 and 120 min, respectively. Mn–Mo(O,S)2-30 catalyst also shows a good photodegradation performance on Rh B and NR organic pollutants. According to the recycling test, the catalyst exhibited excellent performance. The photodegradation follows pseudo-first order kinetics with a rate constant of 0.097 and 0.036 min−1 for MB and MO dyes, respectively. The trapping experiment showed that superoxide anion radicals (O2•-) and holes (h+) are the responsible active species for the degradation on MO and MB, respectively. The novelty of using Mn–Mo(O,S)2-30 for various dyes degradation lies in its remarkable catalytic properties.

Background & Aims Pharmacological approaches can potentially improve fatty liver condition in alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases. The salutary effects of reducing lipid synthesis or ...promoting lipid oxidation have been well reported, but the benefits of increasing lipid degradation have yet to be well explored. Macroautophagy is a cellular degradation process that can remove subcellular organelles including lipid droplets. We thus investigated whether pharmacological modulation of macroautophagy could be an effective approach to alleviate fatty liver condition and liver injury. Methods C57BL/6 mice were given ethanol via intraperitoneal injection (acute) or by a 4-week oral feeding regime (chronic), or high fat diet for 12 weeks. An autophagy enhancer, carbamazepine or rapamycin, or an autophagy inhibitor, chloroquine, was given before sacrifice. Activation of autophagy, level of hepatic steatosis, and blood levels of triglycerides, liver enzyme, glucose and insulin were measured. Results In both acute and chronic ethanol condition, macroautophagy was activated. Carbamazepine, as well as rapamycin, enhanced ethanol-induced macroautophagy in hepatocytes in vitro and in vivo . Hepatic steatosis and liver injury were exacerbated by chloroquine, but alleviated by carbamazepine. The protective effects of carbamazepine and rapamycin in reducing steatosis and in improving insulin sensitivity were also demonstrated in high fat diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver condition. Conclusions These findings indicate that pharmacological modulation of macroautophagy in the liver can be an effective strategy for reducing fatty liver condition and liver injury.
Purpose Metastatic pulmonary large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) is an aggressive cancer with generally poor outcomes. Effective methods for predicting survival in patients with metastatic ...LCNEC are needed. This study aimed to identify independent survival predictors and develop nomograms for predicting survival in patients with metastatic LCNEC. Patients and Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database, identifying patients with metastatic LCNEC diagnosed between 2010 and 2017. To find independent predictors of cancer-specific survival (CSS), we performed Cox regression analysis. A nomogram was developed to predict the 6-, 12-, and 18-month CSS rates of patients with metastatic LCNEC. The concordance index (C-index), area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (AUC), and calibration curves were adopted with the aim of assessing whether the model can be discriminative and reliable. Decision curve analyses (DCAs) were used to assess the model’s utility and benefits from a clinical perspective. Results This study enrolled a total of 616 patients, of whom 432 were allocated to the training cohort and 184 to the validation cohort. Age, T staging, N staging, metastatic sites, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy were identified as independent prognostic factors for patients with metastatic LCNEC based on multivariable Cox regression analysis results. The nomogram showed strong performance with C-index values of 0.733 and 0.728 for the training and validation cohorts, respectively. ROC curves indicated good predictive performance of the model, with AUC values of 0.796, 0.735, and 0.736 for predicting the 6-, 12-, and 18-month CSS rates of patients with metastatic LCNEC in the training cohort, and 0.795, 0.801, and 0.780 in the validation cohort, respectively. Calibration curves and DCAs confirmed the nomogram’s reliability and clinical utility. Conclusion The new nomogram was developed for predicting CSS in patients with metastatic LCNEC, providing personalized risk evaluation and aiding clinical decision-making.

The study design is a cross-sectional quantitative study collecting data through the use of four questionnaires, including the Hospital Anxiety & Depression Scale, the Self-esteem subscale of the Caregiver Reaction Assessment Scale, the Experience in Close Relationship Scale and the Social Support Rating Scale. Hierarchical regression analysis and path analysis were used to analyze the collected data.
Data from 207 participants was used. Family caregivers had experienced both depression and high self-esteem. Social support has significant direct effects on both depression and self-esteem. Attachment anxiety had direct effects on depression and social support, attachment avoidance had direct effects on self-esteem and social support. Social support has mediated the relationship between adult attachment and psychological experiences.
Caregivers had experienced both negative and positive psychological outcomes. There were differences in the effects of insecure attachment on psychological experiences. Social support plays an important role in the relationships among insecure attachment, depression, and self-esteem. Insecure attachment styles and social support should be considered in tailored interventions for family caregivers to reduce their depression and enhance their self-esteem.

ObjectiveThis study was to aggregate the prevalence and risks of epiretinal membranes (ERMs) and determine the possible causes of the varied estimates.DesignSystematic review and meta-analysis.Data ...sourcesThe search strategy was designed prospectively. We searched PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases from inception to July 2016. Reference lists of the included literatures were reviewed as well.Study selectionSurveys published in English language from any population were included if they had a population-based design and reported the prevalence of ERM from retinal photography with or without optical coherence tomography. Eligibility and quality evaluation was conducted independently by two investigators.Data extractionThe literature search generated 2144 records, and 13 population-based studies comprising 49 697 subjects were finally included. The prevalence of ERM and the ORs of potential risk factors (age, sex, myopia, hypertension and so on) were extracted.ResultsThe pooled age-standardised prevalence estimates of earlier ERM (cellophane macular reflex (CMR)), advanced ERM (preretinal macular fibrosis (PMF)) and any ERM were 6.5% (95% CI 4.2% to 8.9%), 2.6% (95% CI 1.8% to 3.4%) and 9.1% (95% CI 6.0% to 12.2%), respectively. In the subgroup analysis, race and photography modality contributed to the variation in the prevalence estimates of PMF, while the WHO regions and image reading methods were associated with the varied prevalence of CMR and any ERM. Meta-analysis showed that only greater age and female significantly conferred a higher risk of ERMs.ConclusionsOur findings suggest that ERMs are relatively common among aged population. Race, image taking and reading methodology may play important roles in influencing the large variability of ERM prevalence estimates.
