Abstract
Based on AUTODYN-3D finite element analysis platform, the SPH algorithm is used to simulate the forming characteristics of Al/PTFE reactive Explosively Formed Projectile (EFP). The evolution ...behaviors and distribution of morphology, velocity, density, and temperature field during the reactive EFP were analyzed. Numerical simulation results show that Al/PTFE reactive shaped charge can form stable reactive EFP, and the overall density of reactive EFP decreases with the extension of the forming time, and the density of reactive EFP is much lower than the initial density of reactive liner. When the reactive EFP is in the state of freely flying, the high temperature region mainly concentrates on the tail of the reactive EFP, the bottom of the reactive liner and the fracture flying zone, and the high temperature region proportion is significantly affected by the explosive type, the curvature radius of the reactive liner and the wall thickness of the reactive liner.
While several initiatives, including monetary rewards and performance system reform, are used to inspire medical staff, none are fully effective. We sought to describe the intrinsic drive of medical ...staff and identify elements that improve work enthusiasm by increasing internal motivation.
A cross-sectional study was conducted in which 2,975 employee representatives from 22 municipal hospitals in Beijing, China were interviewed using a self-made intrinsic motivation scale for medical staff which includes the achievement motivation, self-efficacy, conscientiousness, gratitude level and perceived organizational support. The Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance and multiple linear regression methods were used to investigate the level of intrinsic motivation and identify any influencing factors. The correlation between employee drive and turnover intention was determined using Spearman rank correlation analysis and Kendall's tau b rank correlation coefficient.
A total of 2,293 valid answers were obtained, with a valid recovery rate of 77.1%. There were statistically significant differences in intrinsic motivation and its five dimensions by marital status, political status, profession, service year, monthly income, number of working hours per week, and turnover intention (
< 0.05). Being divorced, a CPC member, in the nursing profession, and having a higher monthly income had a positive impact on intrinsic motivation while working a high hours per week had a negative effect. Higher work drive was associated with lower turnover intention. The correlation coefficients of intrinsic drive and its five dimensions with turnover intention ranged from 0.265 to 0.522 (
< 0.001).
Sociodemographic factors and work environment influenced the intrinsic motivation of medical staff. There was a correlation between work drive and turnover intention which indicated that stimulating the intrinsic drive of employees may help to increase staff retention.

Immobilized antibodies with oriented and homogeneous patterns are crucial to solid-phase molecular recognition assay. Antibody binding protein-based immobilization can effectively present the desired antibodies. However, steadily installing the stromatoid protein with site-specific attachment manner onto a matrix surface remains to be elucidated. In this study, we present an optimal protocol to tightly attach an immunoglobulin G (IgG)-binding protein (Z-domain) through covalent incorporation of Cys-tag and maleimide group onto polystyrene surface to guarantee site-specific, oriented, and irreversible attachment, resulting in a highly efficient platform for three-dimensional IgG immobilization. The actual IgG-binding characteristic of immobilized Z-Cys was investigated by employing affinity chromatography and size exclusion chromatography. And the efficacy and potential of this platform was demonstrated by applying it to the analysis of interaction between rabbit anti-HRP IgG and its binding partner HRP. The proposed approach may be an attractive strategy to construct high performance antibody arrays and biosensors given that the antibody is compatible with the Z-domain.
The generation and topological configuration of double-layered polarization singularity array (PSA) having paired C-points of opposite topological index through superposing three Laguerre-Gaussian ...(LG) component beams with orthogonal linear polarization states are demonstrated. The generated PSA beam exhibits diversity in topological geometry and intensity pattern. The topological rule that the zero net topological charge and helicity conservation hold for the entire PSA is also confirmed. Based on our experiment setup consisting of a computer-controlled spatial light modulator (SLM), the PSA morphology can be flexibly customized and dynamically regulated by modulating the parameters of constituent beams. Our scheme provides a convenient device for manipulating polarization singularities and can facilitate the potential applications of singular optics.
The leucocyte esterase (LE) strip test often is used to diagnose periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). In accordance with the manufacturer's directions, the LE strip test result is read 3 minutes ...after exposing it to joint fluid, but this has not been supported by robust research. Moreover, we have noted that the results of the LE strip test might change over time, and our previous studies have found that centrifugation causes the results of the LE strip test to degrade. Still, there is no evidence-based recommendation as to when to read the LE strip test to maximize diagnostic accuracy, in general, and the best reading times for the LE strip test before and after centrifugation need to be determined separately, in particular.

This study was a prospective diagnostic trial. In all, 120 patients who were scheduled for revision arthroplasty and had signs of infection underwent joint aspiration in the outpatient operating room between July 2018 and July 2019 and were enrolled in this single-center study. For inclusion, patients must have had a diagnosis of PJI or nonPJI, valid synovial fluid samples, and must not have received antibiotics within 2 weeks before arthrocentesis. As such, 36 patients were excluded; 84 patients were included for analysis, and all 84 patients agreed to participate. The 2018 International Consensus Meeting Criteria (ICM 2018) was used for the classification of 49 patients with PJI (score ≥ 6) and 35 without PJI (score ≤ 2). The classification was used as the standard against which the different timings for reading LE strips were compared. All patients without PJI were followed for more than 1 year, during which they did not report the occurrence of PJI. All patients were graded against the diagnostic criteria regardless of their LE strip test results. In 83 patients, one drop of synovial fluid (50 μL) was applied to LE strips before and after centrifugation, and in one patient (without PJI), the sample was not centrifuged because the sample volume was less than 1.5 mL. The results of the strip test were read on an automated colorimeter. Starting from 1 minute after centrifugation, these strips were automatically read once every minute, 15 times (over a period of 16 minutes), and the results were independently recorded by two observers. Results were rated as negative, ±, 1+, and 2+ upon the machine reading. Grade 2+ (dark purple) was used as the threshold for a positive result. An investigator who was blinded to the study performed the statistics. Optimal timing for reading the LE strip before and after centrifugation was determined by using receiver operative characteristic (ROC) analysis. The specificity, sensitivity, and positive predictive and negative predictive values were calculated for key timepoints.
Before centrifugation, the area under the curve was the highest when the results were read at 5 minutes (0.90 95% CI 0.83 to 0.98; sensitivity 0.88 95% CI 0.75 to 0.95; specificity 0.89 95% CI 0.72 to 0.96). After centrifugation, the area under the curve was the highest when the results were read at 10 minutes (0.92 95% CI 0.86 to 0.98; sensitivity 0.65 95% CI 0.50 to 0.78; specificity 0.97 95% CI 0.83 to 1.00).
The LE strip test results are affected by time and centrifugation. For samples without centrifugation, we found that 5 minutes after application was the best time to read LE strips. We cannot deny the use of centrifuges because this is an effective way to solve the sample-mingling problem at present. We recommend 10 minutes postapplication as the most appropriate time to read LE strips after centrifugation. Multicenter and large-sample size studies are warranted to further verify our conclusion.

Glioma, particularly glioblastomas (GBM), is incurable brain tumor. The most targeted receptor tyrosine kinase (RTKs) drugs did not bring benefit to GBM patients. The mechanism of glioma growth ...continues to be explored to find more effective treatment. Here, we reported that Ser/Thr protein kinase YANK2 (yet another kinase 2) is upregulated in glioma tissues and promotes the growth and proliferation of glioma in vitro and in vivo. Further, we confirmed that oncogene Fyn directly activated YANK2 through phosphorylation its Y110, and Fyn-mediated YANK2 phosphorylation at Y110 site promotes glioma growth by increasing its stability. Finally, YANK2 was proved to be a novel upstream kinase of p70S6K and promotes glioma growth by directly phosphorylating p70S6K at T389. Taken together, we found a new mTOR-independent p70S6K activation pathway, Fyn-YANK2-p70S6K, which promotes glioma growth, and YANK2 is a potential oncogene and serves as a novel therapeutic target for glioma.
